Color Hues #80

Good afternoon, I can't believe we are at the beginning of February already! Well we must be as it's time for a new colour combo from Color Hues. As it's the month of love we've got a bold and romantic pairing for you to play with. Here's my take.

As you can see from the logo and watermark, we've also got a new look for the blog!
The image I've used for this card is one I stamped ages ago whilst crafting with my friend Di. It must be 12 or so years ago. I found it languishing in a drawer whilst having a tidy up, waiting for some love! It's a LOTV stamp called Chocolate Box, probably long since retired.
I chose to use Copic markers to colour, all from the R group, to get a few different shades of red and a pink. I fussy cut the image and mounted it flat over a panel of white card, on which I'd already stamped this LOTV sentiment in Memento Gray Flannel.
The whole panel was then attached to an A5 top fold base card. Not too slushy, I don't do slushy, but romantic in a subtle way. Suitable for a birthday, anniversary or even Valentine's day, should you be so inclined.

So where will these new colours take you? For more pink and red inspiration please check out the rest of the team and our GD here and then join in. We always love seeing your takes on the two challenge colours, in addition, neutrals are always welcome.
