Afternoon all.
It's a new month so it must mean a new colour combo at Color Hues.
This time I chose quite a wintery palette, so chose a wintery stamp to go with it!
I've used the Snowflakes Framed stamp from Uniko, simply stamped with Versamark then heat embossed with detail white EP on a panel of white card.
Once cooled down, I added the colour, blending Wilted Violet and Salty Ocean DI across the panel. After stamping my sentiment on a scrap of white card, I fussy cut it and raised it up on pads, adding a few PPP sequins for some sparkle.
All in all a pretty simple, almost one layer design, perfect for batch making.
So where will these new colours take you? We'd all love to see your take in pour gallery and if you need more inspiration please check out the rest of the DT here.
Over on the Uniko blog, I've got another idea using the same stamp but a different colourway, why not check it out?
Don't forget the GIVEAWAY for the release in review at Uniko, a chance to win a £20 eGift code to spend in store. Commenting will close for the giveaway at midnight GMT Sunday 5th November 2023 and Bev will randomly select a winner and announce on Monday 6th November.

Sadly those snowflakes arrived at our house today--enough to make the grass white for awhile, but hopefully, nothing that will last. I much prefer your beautiful snowflakes on that gorgeous ink blended background. Such a lovely card!
ReplyDeleteEmboss resist and ink blending and 2 beautiful colors equals one GORGEOUS card Julie!! I think quite a few of us thought these colors were perfect for snowflakes, and yet each one is totally different...LOVE it!! Perfect color choices and a lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. 😊

ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous colours, absolutely perfect with the white embossing. The village has been rather marooned by flooding today , torrential rain but thankfully the high winds weren't as bad as forecast. Hope you have been ok xx
ReplyDeleteJulie, thank you for this beautiful color combination, it is so perfect for winter/holiday cards. Yours is gorgeous both in its simplicity and your fabulous ink blending! I struggled to achieve a nice soft ink blend with these colors - but that's my heavy hand and I loved seeing your results. Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blend, Julie and pretty card! I love your choice of Hues! Should be a very fun gallery! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous background of purple and blue to showcase snowflakes. Beautiful card. Thanks for having me as GD on Color Hues.
ReplyDeleteJules you picked fabulous colours and from the moment I saw your snowflake card I thought I have to CASE it. Bev has made some wonderful snowflake stamps over the years, this framed snowflake is fantastic just like your blending!
ReplyDeleteLove your soft pretty blend!!! I spent two weeks in North Carolina visiting my son and thought I was all caught up when I returned. Nope. I totally missed this and am so sorry.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this beautiful winter card Jules. The blended colours are so pretty with the white snowflakes. xx
