Kraft CAS

Good morning, I hope I find you well this Saturday morning.
Today marks a new challenge over at Fantasy Stampers. For this challenge we would like to see your creations that are:-

CAS - Clean and Simple

Yippee, my favourite style, no added extras, minimal embellishments and no frills! We just need to see some good old fashioned stamping on your creation.
So without further ado here is my card -

I went a little out of my comfort zone with this creation as I don't usually use kraft as a base but the challenge over at CASual Fridays is to weld kraft with flowers and twine.
I die cut a panel of kraft with my MFT pierced rectangles and then stamped and masked the daisies from STAMPlorations with Versafine Onyx Black.
I used white w/c pencils to colour the petals and added shading with a black one and a little bit of softening with a w/c brush. The daisy centers were coloured with the same set in yellow, orange and brown then softened with water and a brush. Where necessary I added a little white gel pen to brighten up the petals. The twine was added to the base card along with a stamped label from LOTV and the panel mounted on a bright yellow piece of card then mounted on the base with pads.

So that's about it. Check out the rest of the DT's inspiration and join us for the next two weeks.

I would like to join in the following challenges:-

Spring Muse

Good afternoon bloggers.
It's a foul day outside today, wet and windy and very miserable, so I needed a little sunshine.
This is a card I made that I think certainly has a sunny spring like feel and cheered me up when I took the photo this morning.

I'm sorry that the photo is not my usual standard but the light was very poor this morning.
I used this week's  Muse card for my inspiration as well as the colour challenge at Less is More.
This is Michelle's fab Muse card.

I took inspiration from the layout and Michelle's idea of hi lighting just one bloom on the panel. As the LIM colour challenge is green and yellow I kept to that for the colouring.
I stamped and masked a rose stamp from Clearly Besotted onto a die cut panel and used DI in Mustard Seed to wash in the petals on one of the blooms and Mowed Lawn on the leaves and stem.
The back panel was stamped and embossed in white with a Sizzix panel die as I had seen the fabulous Darnell do, then washed it with Mustard Seed DI. I used a Copic pen to colour some twine and attached it and a tag sentiment to the flower panel. Everything was then mounted on a bright green base card.
That's a wrap then, better get some lunch made for hubster as he is working in his office upstairs!

Vintage Guyz

Good morning my crafty friends.
My second post of the day is for the new challenge over at Cardz4Guyz.
This week our topic is -

VINTAGE

Mmm, not my favourite subject but I put my thinking cap on and remembered a card by Jen Nelson on the LOTV site. I thought it was just my version of vintage so I took her inspiration and came up with this little number.

Of course it uses one of my many LOTV stamps, this time it's called Man's Best Friend. I stamped then heat embossed in white. The parcel was a panel of kraft inked with vintage photo DI and over stamped with a couple of franking stamps from Artemio. I splashed a bit of water and roughed up the edges to create a more vintage feel.
I added a bit of dark brown Copic pen and white pencil to the image and left it at that. A couple of tags from a LOTV set were attached to the string to finish the parcel effect. The panel was then stuck to a black base card.

OK, that's about it, pop over to the main site and see what the rest of the team have come up with for your inspiration and join us. Don't forget it has to be for a MALE person, young or old.

I shall enter the following challenges -
Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes

Crazy for CAS - Splatters ( I did splatter the background with water!)
Fashionable Stamping Challenge - Turn up the Heat
Thanks for stopping by.

CASology Eat

Just a quick post to share a card I made on Friday but didn't get to photo 'til yesterday and then I forgot to post!

I made this with the challenge over at CASology in mind. I saw the pudding card that Gillian made then thought I would use a stamped pudding but I couldn't think of anything that was different about the idea, then decided to make a pudding shaped card instead.
It's really simple to make :-
1. Cut 2 circles of brown card
2. Cut a half circle in white
3. Ink an embossing folder on the dots then emboss one circle
4. Crease the other brown circle on the left hand side to form a hinge and glue the front to the back at this point.
5. Trim a sliver off the bottom of the circles to allow it stand upright
6. Cut a wiggly line in the white half to represent the sauce
7, Decorate the top with holly cut outs (Lea bilities) and a fussy cut LOTV sentiment tag.
Voila, simples.

I also have a quick card for you that showcases the watermark made by the fabulous Kylie.
Over on her blog she is running a challenge for the chance to win a personalised watermark of your very own. You have until the 21st December to make a Christmas card to be in with a chance to win.
This is my card which uses a smaller version of my CAS black and gold tree but with the addition of a little bit of bling!

So why not pop over and join in, you never know unless you do!
