Good morning, it's day 2 of the intros for Uniko's April release.
Today we have a fab layering stencil for you, full of spring flowers and foliage.
Here're a couple of ideas of how I've used this 4 layer stencil for you.
This first card uses half of an A5 panel I inked using the stencil.
I chose a spring palette of DIs to ink through the 4 four layers, then cut the panel into 2. This panel I softened the stencilling by using the leftover ink on my brushes, then ran it through my Big Shot with a linen texture EF. This was inspired by ex BA Carol who made this card recently, using perforated paper. Not having any of the specialist paper, I looked for ways to get texture onto my panels.
This next card was the other half of the panel, embossed with a texture plate. As the plate is from an American company it is too small for a British A6 card base, so How to get around it? I could have trimmed all sides to leave a border but decided to cut a curve onto the bottom edge instead using part of an large oval die.
Both sentiments were made from Uniko stash, the first stamped and heat embossed with white EP onto a piece of card coloured with Picked Raspberry DI, the second simply onto black.
Thanks for the inspiration Carol, hope you like my take and this fab new stencil too!
So what have the rest of the team been up to? Why not pop along and have a look?
