Chocolate Baroque Toadstools

Morning all. A busy morning here on my blog, so if you wish to find my Cardz4Guyz post then please click here.

Now it's time to share a card for my guest spot over at Sparkles
This month our theme is:-

TOADSTOOLS and/or MUSHROOMS

When I saw the theme, I knew the exact stamp I needed, one from a set I bought a few years ago from Chocolate Baroque at Port Sunlight. No trip there this year sadly as the event has been cancelled, so sad.
There are plenty of assorted fungi in our fields at the moment as well as a large crop of some that are eating my oak sleeper, raised beds, they're loving the warmth and the damp!
Anyway, here's what I came up with.

Rather than use the whole of the stamp, I used the central few mushrooms/toadstools.
To start, I stamped the whole strip with Altenew Morning Frost to create a no line look to the finished image. Coloured with Copics, I then fussy cut the central group, adding some white gel pen to the caps.
I found the aperture panel in my stash and secured the toadstool grouping behind it. It looked a little lost, so added some die cut foliage behind before popping the whole panel onto an A6 note card. A gold foiled sentiment from my stash completes.

So how will you be inspired? We are looking forward to seeing all your cards in the Sparkles gallery, but should you need more inspiration please check out the rest of the team here.

Favourite Card Shape
I used to make only square cards but they are so wasteful when making the bases from A4 cardstock and as a gal from Yorkshire I couldn't 'thoil it' as they say. So now, I usually make A6 sized rectangle cards as I can get 2 from one piece of A4 card!! Square cards are definitely for very special occasions!
