Uniko Release Day Blog Hop and Giveaway!

Good morning, hope the weather is improving where you are, it's rain falling on frozen ground here in the Welsh borders so treacherous out and about!

It's finally release day and all the products we've been introducing this week are now available to purchase on the Uniko website.

However, if you need some more inspirational persuasion, get comfy grab a cuppa and keep on reading.

This card is another using the Flower Power #11 stamp set very like the one on intro day but more tightly grouped. I like the blend of colours this gives but the down side is that the final panel is a tad small.

To compensate for the small panel size, I die cut it with two stacking dies to create the frame and mounted it onto a black base card, then added the leftover as an outer frame. It also means a I have a slim, white square frame to use later!! Another of my ready made Doodle Flower sentiments completes, this time simply stamped on white with black and mounted on a circle of black to match the rest.

Do you remember my intro for MCM Stars and Circles? Well there was a half a panel left over and here it is!

This time I mounted it on a panel of black, trimmed it down and added it to a square white base card, I also incorporated that leftover frame from the first project! The little coloured circles are also a left over from my Sparkles Sentiments card.

Stencil - Mid Century Modern Circles & Stars £4.50

My next card uses three of this weeks release in one card! Central panel Ink n Flip Flower Power #8 stencil, Background Builders Flower Power and the Simply Said Blocks Occasion, plus Happy from a previous set.

You could put any sentiment you wanted to in the center, there are lots of combinations in the Simply Said Blocks series!

After years of making A6 cards, I seem to be embracing the small square format, or is it the tight Yorkshire Lass I am!!
The leftover from a circle die cut, was stamped repeatedly with one of the Flower Power strips, mounted over a stencilled Flower Power #8 and a die cut frame on a 41/4" base card, simples!!

This card was influenced by one I saw on Pinterest, just a simple gem on kraft.

This time I used some Dreamweavers Embossing Paste to create my gem onto a Home Bargains Kraft base card! I could have added something from the Sparkles sentiment set but in the end left it with just the gem!

Finally we have the fab Picked Posies stencils. Remember that panel I had left from my first intro card, well here it is, mounted on some gold mirror card mounted on a 5 x 7 white card with a vellum sentiment panel embossed in gold.

Quite a different look to the first one, it will soon be winging it's way to my Sister in Law, whose birthday is later this month. I glued the vellum onto the stencilled panel by adding glue directly behind the large stamped and embossed sentiment, a great way to hide those dots of glue!!

Well that was a release and a half don't you think? Time to hop along to see what the other BAs have been up to.
Be sure to comment along the hop for your chance to win a £25 eGift Certificate to spend in store. Winners of this giveaway and the stencils from the first couple of days introductions will be announced here on the blog, Monday 13th January 2025.

January 2025 Release - Introducing... Flower Power #11and Stencil - Mid Century Modern Stars & Circles

Good morning and welcome to another introduction for the Uniko January release.
Today we are focusing on two new releases a stamp set and a stencil.
My first offering uses the stamp set, Flower Power #11, another in the Flower Power series that you can use with many of the others, especially the themed sentiments.
Looking for something a little different to make to hi light the versatility of the stamp, I used the sold flower image and stamped it into a wreath style pattern.

No wreath builder required for this simple design simply my MISTI but I did cut my card to be square so that I could rotate it within my MISTI.
Once I'd decided on the position of my first flower head, I stamped the red head, then rotated my paper 90' and stamped again, missing out the next rainbow colour, repeating until four of the heads were stamped. I then removed the stamp and placed it between two of the stamped heads. Closing my MISTI door, I picked up the stamp and inked it with the colour that fit between each colour, rotaing as before to complete the round. A simple sentiment from yesterday's Sparkle Sentiments and a gem complete.
My finished panel was mounted on some black card and then added to a 41/4" white base card.

This card uses the Mid Century Modern Stars and Circles stencil and is based on a card I saw on Ardyth Percy Robb's You Tube channel.

I began by inking an A5 panel of white card with rainbow colours and then placed the stencil over the top. More of the same colour was added through to give a tone on tone effect. Thinking what to do with the pretty panel was now uppermost in my mind and whilst I was looking through Pinterest I came across Ardyth's idea.
I began by cutting a circle from the center of the inked panel and then cut it half. I found it easier to do this whilst the die cut circle was still in place secured with a little tape. On a scrap of thin card, I attached the semi circle and half of the panel and then used the Memory Box die to cut the pattern.
The MB die I used reminded me of a sparkly sun so the sentiment chose itself really! The sparkle was stamped and embossed with WOW Black Sparkle EP and fussy cut before adding to the center of the sunburst and the other parts simply stamped in black.
The panel was trimmed and added to an A6 white base card, a few sequins for extra sparkle and I still have half of my panel left for another project!

So that's all from me for the moment but please come back tomorrow for another new intro. In the meantime please check out the rest of the team here -
