Happy Birthday Uniko!
Good morning peeps! A new month dawns and also it's the 11th birthday of the wonderful Bev starting the Uniko brand! Today the Brand Ambassadors are celebrating with birthday cards in a Linky party.
Here's my contribution using the Balloon Bash stencil and BB Nautical Stripes, along with a sentiment made up of elements from Wild and Birthday Sentiments.
I've use a rainbow of DIs to stencil in the balloons and a white gel pen for the hi light. The BB Nautical Stripes was stamped a couple of times along a scrap of card using Memento Tuxedo Black, I really must get a reinker or a new pad as it's looking rather faded here.
The stencilled panel was trimmed down and the HAPPY from Birthday Sentiments added with white EP. The birthday part was stamped on a piece of black card and embossed with the same EP. It was trimmed down and added under the HAPPY, the black and white strip added to the bottom of my base card and the stencilled panel added on top to complete.

Uniko's 10th Birthday Bash
Today is a BIG day for all you Uniko fans. We are celebrating 10 years since Bev launched the Uniko brand. A lot has happened to all of us in the intervening years, designers have come and gone but there are still some fabulous stamp sets, dies and stencils in Uniko's catalogue. So to celebrate, we are having a fun party for the whole of February with lots of fun activities for you to participate in.
Here's my card to get the ball rolling, celebrating 10 sensational years of Uniko design.
I always think that balloons are a great way to celebrate, so I dug out my Balloon Bash Stencil and got inky! After adding my balloons using the three different outlines on the stencil using DIs, I added some extra pzazz with a sprinkling of water to add the pattern. The water was removed carefully with a clean piece of kitchen paper and then left to dry. When dry I added the strings freehand with a black fine liner and pencil for the bit of the string behind the orange balloon, to an A6 base card.
For the sentiment I wanted to celebrate Bev's 10 years, so I dug out the first set I ever bought from Uniko called Classic Numbers, now retired and the relatively new Floral Vines set. On a strip of black card, I stamped the 10 and sentiment in Versamark and embossed with white EP. The Happy Birthday from Floral Vines was added in black ink and the sentiment strip added below on pads. The finished panel was then added to my base card with pads.
So, as part of our 10 year celebrations there will be ten quests for you to complete. Each quest will give you the opportunity to win.
If you complete all ten quests correctly there will be one random draw special prize of an £100 eGift Code to spend in store.
Today sees the beginning of the first quest. Simply create a birthday card using Uniko products and share it using the linky at the bottom of today's Uniko post. There are some more birthday card ideas from the Brand Ambassadors over on the blog too if you need a little inspiration.
There is plenty of time to join in on this first quest as the deadline for submission is midnight (GMT) on Monday 28th February 2022.

Introducing Birthday Wishes and Abstract Triangle Stencil
Morning Uniko fans.
It's day two of the February birthday release introductions.
Today we are featuring the brand new stencil Abstract Triangles and Birthday Wishes stamp set.
Here is my card using the stencil as well as Big n Bold Happy stamp set.
To start, I taped my stencil over an A6 panel of white card, masking off a central section.
Using a water based fineliner, I traced inside each of the triangles before colouring with Copics.
On a strip of black card I stamped the sentiments from Big n Bold Happy and embossed with white EP before trimming down to size. The happy was cut from white then a shadow cut from black.
Everything was glued flat onto the coloured panel.
The second card uses the Birthday Wishes stamp set.
As there were so many different sentiments to use I decided I would use them all and make a sentiment background.
Using my MISTI, I arranged the stamps to cover an A6 card panel, filling in the gaps with other Uniko birthday themed stamps, such as Birthday Sentiments and Big n Bold Happy. Using Versamark ink, I inked the whole array and stamped onto a panel of bright blue card and embossed it with clear glossy EP. I kept the assembled stamps on the MISTI and stamped off a couple more, but more of those later. As I had one of the bobbler dies left over from this card and the balloon dies and stencil were on my desk too, I added one in a complementary orange. Details on construction of the balloon can be found here. In the spaces between the entiments, I went in with the two solid stars from the Seeing Stars set and embossed in the same EP before adding the balloon.
For some more fab inspiration featuring these new stamps and stencil check out the rest of team. All details of the release so far are here.
