Color Hues #86

Good afternoon folks.
Today sees a new colour challenge form Color Hues. This time it was my choice and I went for, hopefully, a pretty spring combo to inspire you, here's my card.

I knew roughly that I wanted to make a floral card, so after searching through my stash I finally decided to use an oldie but goodie, Altenew's Painted Flowers. It was one of the first set of their's I bought and hasn't been inked up in a while!
At first I was going to cover the whole panel and use the camouflage die technique but finally went for this much simpler idea. I stamped the elements with Memento Gray Flannel as I thought it was a much better choice for the soft colours than black. The lilac inking was courtesy of Altenew's Lavender Field and Soft Lilac and the greens Altenew's Bamboo and Parrot.
The congrats, Pink and Main, was die cut from an ancient scrap of pearl card in the stash, the stamped sentiment is from Uniko. A few scattered pearlescent sequins complete the design.

So where will my colours take you? As usual the fabulous Color Hues girls and our GD Sue have lots of ideas to inspire, should you require it. See you in the gallery!

  2. A great colour combo Julie and the design is lovely for a wedding card. Guess what...it's still raining!! Half the spraying done now Martin is waiting for a dry window to do the other half of the fields, it really has seemed like the longest winter ever!! Hope you're surviving.
