Color Hues #87

Afternoon folks.
Over halfway through May already, can you believe it? Anyway that means that it's time for a new colour combo from Color Hues
Here's my take on the new duo.

I knew I wanted to make another character based card so had a rifle through my stamped but not coloured box and found these two laughing ladies, no doubt stamped whilst at a friends. Another rifle, this time through my DP drawers led me to a 12 x 12 paper from Bo Bunny that's been there for donkey's and was the perfect colour, if I cut off the floral part! Looks a bit bluer in this pic than in real life.
So after colouring the ladies with Copics, I fussy cut them then added them to a white, scrap circle from the bits box on which I'd already stamped the sentiment, DoCrafts, it could even be the leftover from my tennis girl card! This was then added to my DP covered base card with foam pads.

So where will these new colours take you? As always the team and our GD have come up trumps with their inspiration for you here. Check them out and then why not join in?

  1. Sweet! Love these girls and perfect sentiment too! :) Fabulous way to use the challenge colours, Jules. xx

  2. As always, your colouring blows me away - and this card is no exception! A perfect showcase of the images, especially in hues of coral and teal!

  3. I love when you do these character cards Julie!! They totally make me smile and I'm always amazed at your mad coloring skills too! Perfect use of the challenge colors my friend and awesome card!! Hugs. :0)

  4. Julie, I love reading your posts as I always learn a new phrase that makes me laugh out loud and I want to try using myself. This time it's..."been there for Donkeys! " LOL I always enjoy your cards when you use these darling characters. Well done!

  5. Julie, you have the best selection of fun stamps! I love these two friends having a great time together. Not only are those gals having a great time, the sentiment is just as much fun. Love this card!

  6. I love when you use the AI ladies, Julie. This card is so fun with that fab sentiment along with the great patterned paper, and of course your wonderful Copic coloring!

  7. These characters are always so fun to see, Julie! They 'come to life' with your expert coloring and they make me laugh too! The sentiments do strike true!

  8. Julie this is such a fun card and I love that sentiment. Of course those we tell our secrets too need to stay in our fold. The AI ladies are so fun and your colouring fantastic!
