Thanks a Melon

Morning all.
A new month so it's a new challenge over at STAMPlorations Theme and Photo Prompt.
This time it's a totally tropical inspired card,  what says long hot summer days than chunks of juicy watermelon!

I took inspiration from the theme of tropical, using the Layered Watermelon stamp set by Shirley.

The theme is tropical but the picture suggests holidays, or you could take inspiration from the colours, it's all down to you.

To start, I took some scrap white card and stamped the slices of watermelon using DI, adding water to blend the colours and adding a fine line of dark green with my Zig pens. The seeds were stamped in Industrial Diamond by Altenew then embossed with glossy EP. When dry, I fussy cut the slices and put them to one side. On a slightly smaller than A6 white card, I scribbled on some dilute Di in a mixture of Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch with a medium w/c brush and splattered some of the mix around too.
The large seeds from the set were stamped and embossed as the small ones were, along with the sentiment, The slices of melon were then added using foam pads.
My finished panel was the attached to an A6 top fold card base.

How will you be inspired? We'd love to see your interpretation, so check out the rest of the DT here for more ideas and to see how they got their inspiration. You'll also find all the Ts and Cs there too.
