Good morning.
It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge at Cardz4Guyz. This time we would love to see your cards on the theme of:-
LIGHTHOUSES
I thought I had 3 stamps that would suit this challenge but when I went to look for them I discovered I actually had 4! One I'm sure came from my friend Di as I don't remember buying it myself! If I did it's never been used as the other in the same series was used for this card a few years ago! Anyway here is what I made for your inspiration.
As this is a very busy stamp from Micheal Powell for DoCrafts, I decided to use the spotlight technique and just colour the popped out section. I used Copics to colour and popped the coloured panel back over the outline stamp on pads before mounting on some kraft coloured card and adding it to an A6 white base card. The sentiment, a freebie from a mag and also NEBUS, was stamped onto a scrap of white card, mounted on kraft and added. The mount looks larger on one side than the other but it must be the angle as they are both the same in real life!
So where will the theme take you? As always we look forward to seeing your makes in our gallery but if you should need more inspiration then why not check out the rest of the team here.

ReplyDeleteGreat idea to just spotlight a bit of this brilliant stamp with your pretty coloring, Jules! I think it's a technique that really suits the image. (It would be a fun jigsaw puzzle!) And I love the composition with the vertical sediment! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Happy New Year Hugs, Darnell
