Moonshadow

Good morning all.
The sun is out, Al has gone tree cutting and the dog has been walked and feed. so all is quiet!
Yesterday evening, after my daughter and family went home, I spent a few minutes in my craft room playing. It was all very quiet, Al out, Max asleep shattered after disappearing while out with us for a walk yesterday afternoon and not coming back until much later, looking very contrite! Obviously found something very interesting in a pile of logs.
Anyway I thought I would make a quick card for a couple of challenges that caught my eye.

I masked off a square using Post Its, cut a curve into another and added a large circle as well. I inked the top of the square with Faded Jeans DI then removed the circle die and stamped part of a Heartfelt Creations -'Magnificent Spruce Trees' above the mask. I cut another curve in a Post It, then stamped a larger section of the same stamp over the mask. The moon was given a little more definition with a little Weathered Wood and a few moon shadows were brushed on, stars were added with a white gel pen.
Have you ever walked by moonlight and seen your moon shadow? It's something quite magical, which I've only experienced since we moved to the country where the night sky is not polluted with street lights. It's even more magical when the fields are covered in crisp white snow and the shadows are dark.
After removing the masks I stamped the Christmas Wishes using a LOTV stamp.

I'm joining in the challenges over at :-

  2. Fabulous masking, Julie. The shadow on the snowdrifts looks great. What ever did we do without post-it notes?!
