Thelma and Louise

Evening all.
Is it really October already? It must be because it's time for a brand new challenge at HLS CAS.
Here's my take on this month's theme.

Did you guess correctly?
When I saw the theme I thought of this fun image from Stamping Bella, Thelma and Louise.
I didn't use the sentiments that came with the image but one that came free with a stamp set in a magazine a couple of years ago, works perfectly I think. The card would be the perfect card to celebrate a gap year or just to say good luck in a new situation such as a new job or going to university.

After stamping and colouring it with Copics, I used a scalloped, pierced, stitched edge die to create a little bit of interest but still keeping it CAS, and popped the panel up on pads on an A5 card base.
Simples, no frills, just lots of white space.
For more adventurous inspiration, check out the rest of the DT here and then why not join in?

As You Like It Challenge
CAS or FAF
Never have been a girl for frills and fuss, bit of a tomboy at heart. It took me awhile to discover the CAS style, didn't have the confidence to leave off the embellishments when I first started making. Now you wont find many if any embellishments on my cards, I'm def a no frills kinda gal!

  4. Yep it is October...sadly!! Had a lovely ride yesterday morning though, dry and sunny, if a little chilly!! Our neighbours maize was cut today so no need to wear waterproofs head to toe when I take the dogs out!! This is a lovely card Julie and although you do CAS so well, I love the touches of interest you always add, like the scalloped edges on this one xx

  8. Sorry I'm so late! I love SB images but I do worry that my colouring isn't good enough for many of them. You've coloured this fabulously though, and what a perfect image for this challenge x
