Guesting over at LIM

Morning again friends.
I'm back to share a card I made for today's new challenge over at Less is More where I'm guesting.

Can you guess the theme?

Well it's one layer week and the theme is:-

Oh no I hear you cry, but hold on. OLcards just need a bit of planning and are really no harder than other kinds, so go on have a go!

I started by deciding on my layout on a piece of scrap paper before going ahead with the real thing.
I went with Altenew Amazing You as well as their September colour challenge colours.
Instead of using black ink to stamp, I went with Memento London Fog, embossed with WOW Semi dull EP as I wanted to use watercolours, masking with fussy cut Post it masks as I went.
My card is just bog standard premium card and is fine for watercolouring so long as you don't over work it. If you do, it becomes all rough and messy as the fibers breakdown with too much water.

I chose to work with DIs for this, basically because as I was too lazy to ferret out my watercolour pans from the bottom of the drawer! The blooms were coloured with Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry and the leaves with a mix of Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint.
I wanted a fairly airy sentiment so went with a Marion Emberson one from Personal Impressions, stamped in black.
So what will you come up with, check out the rest of the LIM ladies here for some fab OL inspiration.
