Fruit

Good morning all.
Yesterday was such a foul day I didn't stir far from my craft room, even the dog turned tail and wanted to come back in after doing the essentials!
Anyway it was a great excuse to get some Christmas cards made.
Here is one that was inspired by the challenge at Less is More.

The theme of FRUIT stumped me for a while, I had some non Christmas ideas but then seeing Anita's inspiration card I remembered this image. I know it's from Stampin Up, Partridge in a Pear tree?, I stamped it last year when a couple of friends came down for a crafty get together and it was in my stamped but not used stash! To be honest I had completely forgotten that I had it left over so it was good to use it up before it got trashed! The image is coloured with Copics and then die cut with a MFT pierced square and mounted on red.
The layout is simple but reflects the latest sketch at Sketch Saturday so I shall enter it there as well.

Well that's about it, the weather has not improved and the winds are forecast to be strengthening to 60mph gusts around here, so I better batten down the hatches!

  1. Julie, I have just noticed your card, using the stamp set that I have used! I'm sorry to double up, though yours is much cleaner, crisper and brighter than my effort, as I used watercolours! I make a point of never looking at entries before I make my own, and that is why I didn't see yours before I posted. I love your design, which suits the CAS style so well. Lovely card!

  2. i do look at other entries, this week it wouldn;t have mattered, but i too like to try to make something different and even these two stamps might be the same but the results are completely different in layout and feel and i like them both
