February Release Sneak Peeks from Uniko

It is finally time to share the 'official' sneak peeks for the 8th Birthday February Release at Uniko! With so much excitement already, it has been hard to keep these till now & you might have already spotted lots of peeks at the new products being released around social media!

Anyway, this month we have 7 new clear stamp sets and 1 designer die collection to match a previously released clear stamp set.  All the new products will be available to purchase on Sunday 23rd February 9pm GMT.

Okay, let's have a look at the peeks...

With Bev's current obsession with Outlined Sentiments, she thought it was time to expand the collection and the Uniko clear stamp line up was also in need of a new Alphabet set, just wait 'till you see this set in action!

This next peek is of a new Background Block. This one is such a fun design and starts the collection of Art Deco styled stamps for this release.

The 1920's and Art Deco design style has always captured Bev, so with us entering 2020, she thought it quite apt to bring her love of the style into a collection of stamps. This set is filled with fun birthday and celebration sentiments in a wonderful Art Deco style font.

It has been a while since Bev last released a Background Builders clear stamp set, but this new addition featuring 5 Art Deco designs is sure to be a wonderful addition to the series and also compliments the two peeks above beautifully.

As each day passes there are more and more little signs that Spring is hopefully not far away. With that in mind Bev couldn't resist adding another flower to the Spring Botanical collection. This time a beautiful tulip.

You might be thinking with this next peek that you've seen it before, Pinstripes. You have, but the orientation of the stripes on the stamp has changed! Another fun Background Block and staple design to add to your collection!

Lastly for the stamps
another silhouette design. The previously released Just Because clear stamp set remains a favourite and the floral/foliage silhouette is a stamp with beautiful possibilities. By adding this new foliage silhouette to the mix, it is sure to add even more.

Lastly for this release we have one Designer Die collection. This time to coordinate with another favourite, Kindness Blooms.
That is all the sneak peeks for this release, which means tomorrow the real fun starts! The Brand Ambassadors and Bev will be back to start the product introductions with lots of inspiration.

We'd love to know what you are most excited to see in this line up of products and what your favourite is!

Win Stamps For A Year! DON'T FORGET to enter the HUGE prize giveaway on THIS post too!

Thank you so much for stopping by today & I do hope you will come back & see what these sneak peeks can do!

Stenciling with die cuts and foiling

Good evening and happy Valentines Day!
It's time for a brand new challenge at Perfectly CAS.
Here's my card for your inspiration.

So we would like you to use any shape or shapes as your focus but keep your design to just 1/3rd of the card.
My choice of shapes as you can see was hearts.

I used a homemade stencil made from an IO heart die and scrap card, adding some embossing paste to create dimension. (I must admit that I added a second layer as I thought the hearts were still a little flat looking.)
CAS Stencil are asking you to use foil so I decided to have a go. Mind you my foil is positively ancient, at least 20 years old and I found to my cost that as I was using it, it might have become a little compromised!
I used some Indigo Blu Flitter glue to attach the foil as I don't have a reliable laminator and besides I'm not sure that the foil was suitable for heat! Any how I persevered and I quite like the distressed look which resulted, instead of a silky smooth finish.
My sentiment from Uniko was added to a thin card strip and heat embossed with gold EP.

The photography of foil is notoriously difficult but the textured surface added extra twinkle!

Looking Good Birthday Boy

Good morning peeps.
It's time for a brand new challenge over at Cardz4Guyz.
This time we would like to see your projects using:-

BRADS or EYELETS

So how will you treat that? Simply add them to your design or incorporate them into your design. I had a look through my stash and I came up with lots of brads, large and small, shaped and plain and eventually decided to use simple silver ones in my design.

I've made a few cards using the MFT Zipper die set, it makes a great masculine card.
To start I took a side fold linen effect base card and cut a part circle from the top left, then cut another slightly larger part circle from a scrap of the same, then cut away the waste with the smaller circle die to create a welt.
From a panel of leather effect white card, I cut the front jacket panel and cut away a couple of the zip dies. To get the distressed leather look, I first inked with Black Soot DI followed by Altenew's Permanent Black, hen buffed up the panel.
From some silver mirror card, I cut the zip parts and added them onto the inked panel.
The sentiment, made up from a Woodware and STAMPlorations phrase was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed using white EP.
Using a hole punch, I pre cut the holes for the brads before adding them and then popping up the panel up on pads over the base card.

That's about it from me but there's lots of inspiration over on the blog by the rest of the DT.
Why not join us, but don't forget to make it masculine!

Happy 8th Birthday Uniko

Good morning Peeps. Today is the official birthday of Uniko Stamps, yes 8 years ago Bev bravely started her one woman business. It can't believe its that long ago, I still use my first Uniko set of stamps, the fabulous Pure Florals Gerbera from July 2012!

Last week we got the party started with an inspirational Design Team Blog Hop & Birthday Linky Party. If you missed it, be sure to catch up HERE and join in on the fun.

However, today Bev is offering a HUGE prize package for ONE lucky person to celebrate Uniko's official birthday.

This is a BIG deal for Bev to offer another prize package like this to another lucky winner, but without you the customer, Uniko wouldn't be celebrating 8 years of being in business.

In 2019 Uniko Released 19 Clear Stamp Sets, that's a whole lot of stamps & in 2020, there might possibly be more. Anyway, to be in the chance of winning this HUGE prize, simply add your name to the linkyot the Uniko blog. The link up will close at 23:59 Saturday 29th February 2020.

Winners will be announced Sunday 8th March 2020 along with all the other 8th Birthday Celebration Winners.

Rules etc...
* One entry per person
* You don't have to link just from a blog, you can use any of your social media http links.
* If you don't have a social media or place to link, you are more than welcome to link to your favourite Uniko product on the website ;)
* This giveaway/prize package is sponsored purely by Bev/Uniko and it is open internationally, we'd love to share this amazing prize far & wide!

For Beautiful Eyes....

Evening all.
It's time for a brand new challenge over at HLS CAS and here is my take on this month's theme.

I must admit I was a bit of a loss as what to do but eventually I decided on the positive sentiment route with this pairing from Stamping Bella.
It's quite a large sentiment so I kept the design very simple, the white sentiment banner contrasting with the black base card and the red shades of her dress. I used the colours at Color Throwdown for the dress and accessories, colouring with Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped with Altenew's Industrial Graphite ink.
For more positive inspiration check out the rest of the fab DT here.
