Spots and Stripes

Good morning, Happy 4th July to our American friends and I hope you didn't get washed away with the rain last night in the UK!
Looks all set for a good Saturday here, perhaps not so good tomorrow.
Still down to business, as its Saturday there is a new challenge at Fantasy Stampers.
This time with a nod to our American cousins it's

SPOTS n STRIPES

I know not exactly stars but near enough eh?
So without further ado here is my card for your inspiration.

My stamp is by Magnolia, obviously a Tilda but not sure if the name as it was a bargain bucket buy which my friend Di let me use. I used the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch and I was  using the colours at CAS Colours and Sketches but I got the wrong turquoise, I think? Please except my apologies if it doesn't fit! I coloured Tilda using Copics to match the NitWits DP and the fussy cut her, mounting her on a circle of white card, 'cos I'd stamped her on some old cardstock that was a different colour to the embossed background, silly me! I added a few stars from a Mama Elephant set, it's really useful.

OK, now it's over to you. Check out the rest of the DT's inspiration here  and join in.
Please remember to use a handstamped image as we cannot include digital images in our top 3.

Birthday Girl

Welcome back to the final day of our blog hop to celebrate our 2nd birthday at STAMPlorations.
It's been such fun playing with the new stamp sets. Today I'm using another couple of elements from Dee's fab Party Mates set.

I stamped and masked the plain cupcake to create the tiered cake then added the candles, colouring with Copics, then fussy cut. Using the sketch from Paper Players, I mono printed the background using an acrylic block and a couple of pinkish w/c pens. The circular panel was cut then embossed with a doily EF I got free with a mag, a strip of gold and a banner stamped with one of the Party Time greetings were attached with a couple of Tim Holtz scribbled diecuts under the edge. To finish I added a button with twine bow and a few sequins.

Stamps and Distressing

Good afternoon.
Just because we are blog hopping it doesn't mean that normal service over at STAMPlorations has been suspended! So as it is the first Friday in the month it means a new challenge!
Here is my card -

giving inspiration for the theme of -

I'm not big on the distressing but I used DI to colour and the greeting from the Blossom Overture set is a little distressed!
The flowers are on the latest Stamp Club set  The Birds and The Blooms which I stamped and masked before printing over the top with a large  acrylic block with lemon and green DIs spritzed with a little water. I die cut the raised panel using my MFT pierced rectangle stax dies and popped it up.

Now it's over to you, as usual Shery is offering fantastic prizes, you don't even have to use STAMploration stamps to join in, we'd like it if you did though!

Party Time

Hi, and welcome to day 4 of STAMPlorations Birthday Blog Hop
I can't believe all the fantastic ideas coming from the fabulous STAMPloration girls and the equally great Guest Designers. and there is still another day to go!
Here is my card for today.

This time I've used  Party TimeParty Mates and ARTplorations Stencil Christmas Trees again!
For this card I inked some white card with bright DIs then using the swirly tree stencil I inked through with Versamark before using UTEP. I moved the stencil around to get the pattern I wanted. I then inked over the stamped and embossed panel with Black Soot DI leaving the bright swirls to pop through. Check the Techniques tab for the link for more info about this technique.
I stamped a party hat in bright orange on a scrap of white card and then embossed in clear before fussy cutting it out. I used my MFT dies to cut out the rest of the PARTY letters, using the hat as an 'A'. The time was stamped and embossed in white ep. After mounting the letters on the black panel I mounted the whole on pads over a white base card.

Why not check out what the rest of the team made, including our Guest designer, TAHEERAH ATCHIA ! You'll find links to all birthday blog hop projects here.

STAMPlorations birthday blog hop day 3

Hi and welcome to day 3 of the STAMPlorations birthday blog hop.
I love the Party Mates set, it's just so versatile. Today I've used hem again for this card.

I went a little wild with this card!

I made the 'monster' using some die cuts and punches in green card, adding some texture around his mouth with glossy accents. I stamped some of the Part Mates stamped in bright DIs on white and die cut some letters with a MFT die to match. I cut the party time stamp in half and stamped it in black.

Check out what the rest of the team made! Today our guest designer is
KEREN BAKER
