Afternoon folks.
We're over halfway through the month of October already, can you believe it? Anyway it also means it's time for a new colour challenge from Color Hues. This time Tracey has chosen a pairing that will hopefully tempt you to join in. Here's my take.
I've used a simple die cut mask and some DI inking to create this shades of orange focal point on a panel of white card. I used 3 different shades, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade and Carved Pumpkin, adding the colour in circles light to dark, around the mask blending as I went, to create the glowing effect. The foliage silhouette is from Uniko's Happy Days set, which I stamped in black and then heat embossed in clear EP. I find this a lot less messy than trying to get black EP to stay where you want it!! A simple Uniko sentiment, Simply Said, completes.
For more fab orange and black inspiration please check out the rest of the team and our GD

See you in the gallery!!
