As it's the first of the month there must be a new colour duo from
Color Hues. Well there is, but this latest challenge has a bit of a twist, but more of that later!
February is the month for love and the new colours from Tracey are perfect for cards on that theme or if you want another theme you choose!
Here's my card using a cute LOTV image and a Uniko sentiment.
This image from LOTV, also now available from Penny Black due to copyright lapsing I found out recently, was one that I stamped using my friend Di's stamp and is another that was languishing in my to colour box. So after colouring with Copics, I fussy cut the pair out and put to one side. I then realised that I need to make a card for another DT so it was left for a couple of days on my desk. When I resumed, I went to pick it up and saw it against a piece of scrap paper I'd used to ink another project and it had left a soft halo and my cute duo were looking into it! So that was how I came up with the design.
On my base card, I inked a halo of Weathered Wood DI, glued the duo on top and finished off with a simple stamped sentiment from Uniko.
Now for the twist I was talking about,
we are excited to share with you that we are partnering up for this challenge with Inksprational! Details are shared below from teammate and card maker extraordinaire Carol Mayne who is also a designer and behind the scenes organiser at Inspirational."The design team gals and I at Inkspirational are delighted to participate in this first-time collaboration with Color Hues. Creating with Red and Pink – a combination open to such a wide range of hues, as well as occasions/events – makes us even more happy! Hopefully, you’ll find our team’s contributions as inspiring as those created by the Color Hues team.

A wee bit about Inkspirational Challenge, in general:
We’re a two-week challenge that features a rotation of: Word Prompt, Designer's Choice, Mood Board, Clean and Simple, Use Stencils and Seasonal. We’re pleased to have a strong group of participants who embrace our challenges with enthusiasm and creativity on a regular basis. We look forward to introducing them to Color Hues and hope they'll add this engaging challenge to their crafting repertoires."
So what do you think, for no extra effort you get an extra chance to win!
