Kraft Christmas

Tuesday, 9 o'clock means a new challenge over at Cardz4Guyz.
This week we would like to see your projects on the theme of -

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Any Christmas project for the men in your life, young or old.
I went with a more mature male in mind with my card.

I was inspired by the challenge over at MUSE: Christmas Visions with this super card.

I took various elements from it, such as the kraft panel, white die cut circle, deep red banner, and gold embossing, not forgetting the shadowed Christmas tree.
For my card I die cut the kraft base card to create an opening and stuck my white circle on the inside. I kept the card just kraft and stamped snowflakes over the base then heat embossed in gold. The banner was cut and stamped with a LOTV greeting then the edges lightly embossed in gold. The tree was cut from a scrap of dark green glitter card and gold mirry. I liked the way the edge of gold was peeking from behind the sparkly green one so glued the green over the gold one so a little bit of gold was showing then attached it to the base together with the banner.
As it was a masculine card I kept embellishments down to the minimum, you can always get away with a little bling on a Christmas card I think. The CAS style, kraft and dark colours used make for a more masculine feel.

OK, now it's your turn.
