Happy Birthday Becca

Hi crafty friends.
This is a little extra post to say Happy Birthday to one of my fab teamies from STAMPlorations, the wonderful Damsel of Distress herself, Becca.
As I'm a bit slow on the uptake this year I hope she will accept this virtual card as it hasn't got a cat in hell's chance of getting there on time!

This is the second outing today for Uniko's gerbera stamp, but I do love it!
I made the panel using Kylie's Starch and Brusho technique (see techniques for more info) on some w/c paper. Yes you read correctly, I finally bit the bullet and bought some 300gsm HP in an A1 sheet from the Art supply shop where I get my card. So much cheaper than pads or A6 pieces but a devil to get in my cutter! The flower and leaves I embossed in white then wet with water and sprinkled Brusho on and left to dry before fussy cutting. The sentiment is from a new set from STAMPlorations- Balloons And Banners - Dee's Artsy Impressions.

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Becca xx
Pop over to her blog and join in her birthday celebrations. I've got my Grandson's birthday party tomorrow so better pop out and get some food in!

  1. Virtual card accepted - and GLADLY! :) This is sooooo pretty! I can see why you love that gerbera. It's strikingly gorgeous and especially with that deep, rich color scheme. THANK YOU so much for putting a BIG smile on my face by playing along with my birthday linkup. :D

  2. This is wonderful Jules, a great stamp and I love the colours you have used, they are perfect with the white. Sunny in Dorset today but Sunday looks rubbish so that means only one Victoria Sandwich for cricket teas!! xx
