June Challenge @HLS Dies

Good evening and welcome to a post to announce the start of our second challenge over at HLS.
As always our theme is

ANYTHING GOES with dies

Just make your dies the center of your project.
Here is my inspiration for you.

I was looking through a box of made cards and came across this card that I made a couple of years ago. (here)

I couldn't remember when I made it so went looking back and couldn't believe it was so long ago!

The little strip of DP is from some that my best friend Di gave me, I think it is the same set as the butterfly paper I used with the die cut flowers so I decided to flip the focus to a die cut butterfly. I also decoded to leave the ribbon off and place the panel flat on the card.
Dies used for this are-
Memory Box - Pippi Butterfly, Isabella Butterfly and Fresh Foliage.
The tiny butterfly is a Hobbycraft punch.
I washed a mix of Wilted Violet and Salty Ocean DI over my panel of white card and also over the Isabella butterfly as well as adding a few splashes for interest. When dry I stamped the SU greeting, added the fresh foliage and glued the Pippi butterfly over the coloured one and arranged it and the other and sequins on the panel. The strip of DP was glued in place followed by the finished panel.

There's so much more inspiration over at the HLS site so pop along there  and have a look.

Lilac Roses

Good evening folks.
I'm back with another card to share.
This time it's to announce the start of a new challenge over at ATSM.
This week you can

MAKE YOUR MARK

Here is my card which I made with an eye to a couple of challenges out there.

For this card, I used a new stamp that I picked up from a sale a month or two back. Its part of a set from Stampendous. To start I stamped the 3 rose cluster in black then masked them off and stamped again to make a larger bouquet. Using Copics, I coloured the roses in purple, looks rather blue in the photo, and then the next step was to cut out the panels with part of a MFT blueprint die set. I replaced the die cut panels on a white linen base card then sketched in the missing bits with a pencil, easier than stamping!
The happy (Wplus9), cut in silver was glued over the panels and anniversary (HLS) was stamped in black.
This week we are sponsored by

A Day For Daisies provides themed categories of over 3000 digital stamp illustrations for all your crafty projects. See their website to view them all!
The prize is a $12 gift certificate.

Yaaay Dad

Morning all.
Well the sun has been shining all week here in the peaceful Shropshire countryside, can't quite believe we have been able to sit outside watching the swallows swoop across the fields and listening to distant bird song watching the sun go down all week.
It can't last, rain is forecast later today and tomorrow, still we need some rain to fill the water butts that are nearly dry. We've not had rain for over a fortnight!
Anyway there's a new challenge starting over at Cardz4Guyz. This week we would love to see your projects on the theme of -

FATHER'S DAY

Here is my card-

Very simple layout, a copy of an image from an old magazine, coloured with Copics. mounted on blue tartan DP and white base card. Love those cute kiddos! Inside it reads

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

As I said a quick and simple card.

For more inspiration please check out the rest of the DT and have a go yourself.

A Boy's Best Friend

Good morning all.
It's been a very sunny week here, but I do appreciate that some parts of the UK have had an awful Spring Bank holiday.
Anyway it's time for a new challenge at Fantasy Stampers.
We are a STAMPING challenge so that needs to be the main focus of your projects, sadly digi images cannot be included in our top 3.
This week we would like to see projects on the theme of -

MAN'S BEST FRIEND

Here is my card.

I've used a magazine freebie from Lady Bug Crafts I've had for quite awhile. The little boy could be my Grandson, except for the red hair and our dog Max. Max is sulking as I write this because I wont let him up on my knee, as during his walk he managed to get some sheep poo on his neck and wont let me wash it off. Looks like a two man approach is needed!
I look to be following a bit of a theme with my layouts here, I do like to use the die cut window, it gives that little bit extra interest on a simple card.
This time I used a snippet of NitWit DP behind the aperture and cut a couple of scrap strips edged with a MS edge punch to create the grass, coloured with Copics to blend in the Copic coloured fussy cut image.
The banner is made by extending a single ended die from a MFT Blueprints set and stamping with a simple Happy Birthday.
That's about it then from me. Please check out the rest of the fab DT and join in this week.

June Challenge @ STAMPlorations

Good afternoon peeps.
Welcome to a post to announce the start of a new challenge over at STAMPlorations.
Her is my card for your inspiration.

This month we would like you to use the sketch or theme or both.

I wasn't intending to use the sketch but unintentionally I have, it is turned on its side, and what is a birthday if not a CELEBRATION!
I used the photo at The Card Concept for the colours, echoing the soft pink flowers in the cup with mine from Blooming Buds, and the soft blue and gold in the cup with the inked panel and gold strip and stamped sentiment. The layout is from Less is More, only later did I realise it echoes this month's sketch!
The blue panel was done by embossing with the ARTploration stencil Stained Glass then inking in Salty Ocean Di before removing it. The flowers were stamped in Memento London Fog, then masked to add further blooms to the posy, coloured with Copics and fussy cut before adding to the panel. Happy birthday is my favourite sentiment type from Banners and Balloons stamped in gold ink.

For all the usual Ts and Cs please check out the main STAMPlorations site where you will also see the rest of the DT's fab inspiration as well as this month's fantastic GDs, Jerrie and Pooja
