Hobbies and Pastimes

Good morning crafty friends, hope I find you well.
As it's Tuesday it means another challenge over t Cardz4Guyz. This week we would like to see your projects on the theme of -

HOBBIES or PASTIMES

Now I had to think hard on that one, when is a sport a hobby? Anyway after looking through the stash I decided on the 'Vintage Tractor' stamp from Molly Bloom. Hubster has been to quite a few vintage tractor rallies and has spent a lot of time getting his vintage grey Fergie to work, not for showing mind you, just for working! There are plenty of devotees of these tractors and spend alot of time and money on getting them renovated, so definitely a hobby/ pastime.

I used the latest sketch over at Sketch Saturday for the layout but tipped it on its side!

The side panels are raised with an added strip of kraft on the edge and the landscape panel made up from a NitWits paper scrap in the bits box and some marbled paper together with some die cut clouds. This was glued flat on the base and the image was stamped then coloured with Copics, fussy cut, then mounted on pads.

OK, now it's over to you, what will you choose? Join in the fun over at Cardz4Guyz and don't forget to check out the rest of the team's and our fab GD's inspiration.

I should also like to join in at -

Copic Marker Europe - Things with Wings
(There are two wings over the large wheels on the tractor, hubster has two wing shells to fit on his !)

On the Beach

Morning all.
It's Tuesday so that means another new challenge at Cardz4Guyz. This week Diane has chosen the theme of:-

ON THE BEACH

Well summer is well and truly upon us, schools are breaking up for the holidays so what better than a trip to the beach. Here is my card for the DT inspiration.

This is a card based around the Molly Bloom character George. The sand is made from torn fine grade sandpaper layered over the front of the main A5 card. George, his ball and bucket are slotted between the layers. The huts are drawn freehand and coloured with Copics as are all the separate pieces. The flags are fom a Lindsay Mason set 'Hoist the Flags'.

I shall enter it in the following challenges:-

On the farm

Good afternoon everyone.
The sun is shining, but it's very windy, good for the washing if I can keep it on the line!
Just a quick post as it's nearly dinnertime. Al has gone to feed the sheep as he didn't finish it all first thing as he had Max with him. The ewes don't like Max and try to mob him, poor thing.

I have had this card on the go all weekend but was at a loss as to how to finish it off. Finding the correct papers is sometimes a real pain, but having scanned through my NitWits collection I found some that went together.

The impetus for this design was the challenge over at Crafty Little Fairies - Down on the Farm. The layout was inspired by Sketch n Stash #135, I flipped the sketch 180 for the card.

I stamped the tractor then masked it off to stamp the image of the little boy over the top, both images are from Molly Bloom. I used my favourite Copics to colour as follows:-

Tractor - C0, 3,5,7,10, BV23,25,29,Y15,17, 100
Hair - E41,42,44
T Shirt - R35,37,39, C3,0
Cap - B12,14,18,C0,3,5,R35,37,39
Skin -E000,00,11,13
Gravel - W0,3,5,7,E71

I shall enter it in the following challenges:-
Crafty Little Fairies - Down on the Farm
ATSM - Make your mark
As you like it Challenge - favourite colouring medium- I just love colouring and you get much better results with Copics than any other media I have used

Have a good rest of the day and thanks for popping by.

Christmas for the boys

Afternoon all. I'm still without my own laptop but am sort of OK with the loan of husband's backup one. I'm still working on his card but I have another week to get it sorted. In the meantime here is one card I made for Christmas.

I made it using George from last Christmas's Molly Bloom set. The star I cut freehand from a piece of embossed white card then edged in Tim Holtz 'Broken China' distressed ink. The ribbon is a Docrafts design from years ago and the snowflakes are punched from silver and white card with a Woodware green punch. The white ones I inked with Copics. The sentiment stamp is from LOTV and I personalized the middle with a name and mounted it on a spellbinder inverted scallop circle in silver. I coloured George using Copics.

Wellies:-C1,2,5,7
Snowflakes, Scarf n mittens:- BG000,01,05
Face:- E000,00,11 R11
Trousers and jacket:- B93,95,97,99

The whole lot was mounted on textured blue paper from the stash and double mounted onto silver.

I am going to enter it in the following challenges:-
