Welcome Baby

Good morning folks.
It's Tuesday so it's time for a new challenge over at Cardz4Guyz. This week it is the theme of -

WELCOME  BABY

We'd like to see your baby cards and projects for a little boy, using any technique you can come up with. This is my card for your inspiration.

The layout is based on the latest challenge over at the Male Room.

Instead of the squares I used circles as I wanted to use my LOTV  3 Bears with parcel stamp again. I used a circular sentiment from LOTV as the central image and fussy cut two of the bears, coloured with Copics and then mounted on pads in the aperture. I used buttons in decreasing sizes to be the horizontal panel on the sketch. The end result is pretty CAS so fits with quite a few challenges.

OK, that's about it. Pop over to the main site to see the rest of the DT's inspiration then have a go. You never know when you might need a birth congratulations.
I shall enter the following challenges:-

Cute Card Thursday - circles
The Card Concept -  Probably clean and layered?

Creative Inspirations - Clean and Simple
Inkspirational - Blue and white/cream
Moving along with the times - Birthdays, Bunting and Buttons

Recipe at Cards und More

Morning all.
It's double post Tuesday, first off the rank is this weeks challenge over at Cards und More.
The challenge is a recipe of 3- 3 papers, 3 dies and 3 ribbons or lace.
Here is my card for the DT.

I made this for my daughter whose birthday it was yesterday. I'm not saying how old she is but I remember it rained on the first day of Wimbledon, so I didn't miss a match while otherwise engaged! Vitas Guerulitas was one of the players at the time I do recall, all blond mullet!
I have used 3 different fancy circle dies to go behind the LOTV bears.
3 different ribbons, on the parcels and on the front and
3 different NitWit papers, you can hardly see the third one as it's used on the lacey circles and the piecing on the daughter stamp.
The lace edging was made using a MS edge punch and the butterflies were punched out of left over paper or plain white coloured with Copics to match. The daughter stamp is from Papermania and I paper pieced it with a couple of the papers, then added a bit of bling with matching diamontes. The phrase is also LOTV as are the Bear Trio, coloured in Copics then mounted on punched coloured circles.

I shall enter it in the following challenges:-
Creative Inspirations - Tie it up
Stamping Sensations - Animal Antics
Fab n Funky Challenges - Shaped Cards
A gem of a challenge - Animals
Why don't you check out the rest of the DTs inspiration over at the main challenge blog.
Thanks for popping by, I'll be back in an hour with the latest challenge at Cardz4Guyz, so come back soon.

CAS(E) this baby card

Good afternoon folks.
Hope the sun is shining this Spring Bank Holiday(UK) , Memorial Day (US).
I was hoping to cut the grass after a dreadful weekend for weather but it is still a tad too wet, so here I am blogging. We had a full house at the weekend with both children down plus Grandson and SiL, shame we couldn't get out much 'cos of the rain. Even when it wasn't raining the grass was wet through. Still Ben played with Dadgwan with his bubbles in the yard and the 'boys' played with big boy toys in the evening.

There have been nothing but baby boy's arriving this year and the only baby card I have is a girly one! However that gives me the perfect excuse to craft! Anyway here is the latest card from the craftroom, a baby card for a work collegue of my husband's and former neighbour's second child. Hopefully Al will remember to give it to Gary, I hope Gary doesn't see it here first!

I made this with reference to two challenges -

Less is More - Diecuts

The base is a piece of Bazzil card folded to make an A6 card. The white top layer was die cut in 3 places with Spellbinder circles and the other circles were made with  pattered paper die cuts, a button, sequin and dew drop from the stash. The greeting stamped in Broken China DI is from LOTV as is the round sentiment and little bear. The bear is one of a set of 3 which I coloured using Copics then fussy cut and popped on pads to peek out of one die cut hole. The circular sentiment was glued flat inside the largest aperture, the check paper at the top was glued underneath the opening and then the white topper was popped up on pads.

That's a wrap then, I better go and see if the grass is dry enough to cut!
Thanks for stopping by, call again.

CAS

Hi folks, it's Tuesday so it's another challenge at Cardz4Guyz. This week it was my choice of theme and guess what I choose?

CAS.
(Clean and Simple)

What else could it be!
Then it struck me that I had already created quite a few CAS cards for the DT so I was looking for something a little different. I thunk and thunk and came up with this.

This little bear is just so cute, he comes as part of a set from good old LOTV. The scrap of DP was sloshing around in the stash and the greeting is from a Molly Bloom set. I distressed the edges of the top layer with a distressing tool, to make it stand up against the base card and mounted it on pads. I used blue as the base 'cos a CAS card doesn't have to be white to have 'white space' if you get my meaning. Don't ask me the brand of the DP I used, it's been in the box so long, but I cut a circle slightly larger than the aperture and stuck it flat on the base card. As usual I used Copics to colour the bear as follows:-

Bear - E57, 55, 53, 51, 50, R20

I cut him out and mounted him on pads in the aperture.

Well that's about it really, clean and simple.
Get your thinking caps on and join us in this week's challenge. Don't forget to keep it CAS.

I shall enter this project in the following challenges:-
CAS on Sunday - Masculine
Less is More - Masculine
