Mum

Good Morning crafters, hope the weekend finds you well.
As it's Saturday it must mean it's time for a new challenge over at Fantasy Stampers.
This time the theme of our challenge is -

MUM'S THE WORD

With Mother's Day in the UK nearly here you could go down that route but I chose to make a birthday card.

I used an image from LOTV which may now be discontinued Teddy For Mum.
I coloured him in Copics to match the DP and then fussy cut him out.
I had seen a layout similar to this on the LOTV Ideas to inspire site and thought teddy would look good in it. I added some landscape details using my MB Country Landscape die and a MS grass edge punch. The papers are from a free set of NitWit papers in a mag, Bonnets and Bowties. The clouds were die cut using a Joy set from textured card.

OK, pop over to the main blog and check out the rest of the DT's inspiration then join us, we love it if you did. If you fancy being a GD for a couple of posts then why not add GD after your entry, a bit of fun to test the waters without all the DT responsibilities.

As I said a couple of days ago, the first lambs are down from the lambing sheds so I thought I would add a photo to show you. Its not too good as the ewes are very protective and hurried their charges away when I approached!

I shall enter the following challenges-
The Crazy Challenge - For my Mom

CASEing Kylie

Good morning fellow crafters, hope I find you fine and dandy.
Today sees a ne challenge over at Fantasy Stampers. We are going all girly this time with our theme of -

PRETTY IN PINK

We are also saying hello to a couple of new team members, pop along to check them and the rest of the team's inspiration out. Here is mine -

I made this with a couple of challenges in mind.
Over at Time Out they are CASeing KYLIE of Addicted to Stamps's card -

Isn't it so pretty.
I took inspiration from her tag, flowers, ribbon and embossed front as well as the pink and white colourway.

I embossed the from panel using an old EF, I'm not sure of the make but it's probably it's first outing!
I cut a tag using a Marianne die from their CR 1254 set and added a chiffon ribbon bow to match my base card made from bubblegum pink Bazzil. I stamped one of my STAMPlorations Bloom Sketches daisies and heat embossed in white before colouring with DI Picked Raspberry in w/c style. The leaves are from a Hero Arts set, Stitched Frames embossed and coloured as before using some Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemon and Mowed Lawn DI. I fussy cut them all and adhered them to my tag. The greeting was from a Woodware set stamped in Picked Raspberry.

I shall also enter the following challenges:-
As You Like it Challenge - CAS or Fussy
I'm really a CAS girl at heart, I don't do fussy!
Sweet Stamps BLOG challenge - Pink, White and one other colour
Simply Create Too - Anything Goes

edited 15/2 to add HLS - Embossing
Thanks for popping by, call back soon.
Off out for a little crafty me time now, leaving Al and Max to their own devices!

Fairies

Good morning.
I hope I find you all well this weekend and not too battered by the weather.
Today marks a new challenge over at Fantasy Stampers.
This time the theme is -

FAIRY NICE

So anything to do with fairies!
Simples, so long as you use a traditional fairy stamp in your design it will be fine.
We wont be able to accept entries which use DIGIs. I'm afraid quite a few entries from last time were lovely designs but either did not have much stamping or used a digital image.
So without further ado here is my card for your inspiration.

This image is a LOTV stamp called 'Fluttering'. I picked it up in the bargain bin, on the last trip to Farsley during October half term. The papers are from Nitwits, 'Promises' The image was stamped in Memento London Fog and coloured with Copics.
OK, so that's about it, pop over to the main site to check out the rest of the teams inspiration and join in.
We are also on the look out for a couple of new DT members, so if you love stamping and fancy joining us, we don't bite, just add DT to your entry or pop over to the main Fantasy Stampers site where you will find all the details.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Sketchy Colours - a sketch

Love Rubber Stamps - Stamp with anything but black (I used Memento London Fog)
Without Words - Dreaming of Spring
Simply Create Too - Mother's Day or for a female

CAS Christmas

Good Morning. I hope I find you well on this Saturday morning.
Christmas is only 19 sleeps away so I hope you are all ready for the big day. Moi, I'm nowhere near ready, most cards are written if not posted and the turkey is ordered but that's about it. So for all those who need a quick card, the latest challenge at Fantasy Stampers is -

CAS CHRISTMAS

It doen't have to be of a fantasy nature but we do want to see some stamping on your design, no digis allowed. Here is my card for your inspiration -

I used the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch to make this CAS card.

I used my Personnel Impressions 'Snowflake' stamps in embossed silver and Memento London Fog.
The Noel is an old Sizzlet die that I bought in a sale and not used, cut in silver mirror card. The border was cut using my Die-namics pierced rectangles and every thing was mounted flat, thinking of the post!

So go on join us in our last challenge before our Christmas break. Pop over to the main blog to check out what the rest of the team have been up to!

I shall also enter the following challenges-

Colour Me - Monochromatic
Creative Inspirations - Silver and white only
Crazy4CAS - Something Old (My NEBUS Noel die)
Thanks for popping by, have a great Christmas!

9/11/14 PS - Although the Noel looks gold its just a reflection of the wood where I took the photo!

Cute Christmas

Good morning, hope you have a great weekend lined up despite the rain which we have here at the moment!
I'm back to share my card for the new challenge over at Fantasy Stampers. This time Jan has picked the theme of

CUTE CHRISTMAS

OK you rubber stampers out there, get your stamps out and join in with us in our penultimate challenge before Christmas. Don't forget we cannot accept digis in our top 3!
So without further ado here is my contribution to the DT inspiration.

This uses the stamp 'Teddy with Robin' from LOTV, isn't he cute. I must admit I do prefer cute Christmas cards over the traditional Victorian style, I find them a bit old fashioned.
The layout is based on the latest challenge at Addicted to CAS and the panel behind the teddy is from a NitWit set, which slips my mind at the moment! The robin and bear were coloured using Copics then fussy cut. The sentiment was from a Woodware set and the trusty Cuttlebug folder 'Snow' was pressed into use yet again for the top layer.

I shall also enter the following challenges:-

As You Like it challenges - Christmas, Traditional or modern ( definitely modern)
LOTV - Merry Christmas
Time Out Challenges - Embossing - option of sparkle (I chose not to twist!)
( I mirrored the sketch)

OK that's a wrap for now, so get your traditional  cute stamps out and join in at Fantasy Stampers.

Something Spooky

Good morning crafters, I hope I find you well.
As its Saturday it means a new challenge over at Fantasy Stampers. You didn't appear to be inspired by our last challenge so here's hoping your are going to prefer our latest challenge -

SOMETHING SPOOKY

Yep, its a Halloween theme this challenge. Now regular readers will know that I'm not a big fan of this 'celebration' and I don't have any Halloween themed stamps and as it's a traditional stamping challenge I couldn't use a digi, so I had to think laterally.

I started this card quite a while ago and it has changed quite a few times before I finally came up with this finished card.
I started off with a piece of white card which was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder which I had inked with DI and spritzed with water before running it through my Big Shot. I wasn't satisfied with where I went next so I inked some white card around a circular mask with DIs to create a moon. I then stamped the bottom edge with a tree stamp from the Elusive Images Tall Trees set in black.  I tore across the panel and distressed the edges then cut a bat freehand and added a few freehand bats in pen. A little bit of Weathered Wood DI was smudged across the moon to give a bit of dimension.
Voila, a spooky scene with no Halloween stamps!
OK, now its your turn, have a go even if you have no themed staps, let your imagination flow!
If you want more inspiration pop across to the main blog and check out the rest of the DT inspiration.

I shall enter the following challenges-
Love Rubberstamps - Warm Colours
The Make Room - Halloween
ABC challenge - V for Vibrant Colours

Thanks for popping by, see you again soon.

Time Flies

Good morning, hope I find you well.
Another Saturday dawns so it means another challenge over at Fantasy Stampers.
This time we would like to see your creations that have the theme of-

TIME FLIES

Now that had me thinking, clocks, reunions, lots of different sayings but eventually I settled on this.

Do you remember blowing dandelion clocks when you were little to try to tell the time depending on how many puffs it took to clear the seed head of spinning seeds? Well that is what inspired this card.
I used one of my favourite stamps, Dandelion Wishes from Inkylicious and a sentiment from a new set to me from STAMPlorations.
I'm afraid the Brusho's came out again for this, which I added to the base after embossing the seed heads in white on linen cardstock. I added the sentiment aferwards using the same white embossing powder. The frame was cut using a Spellbinders Romantic rectangles die but I kept the outer and put the actual rectangle to one side for future use, I popped the frame up on pads to create added dimension.
OK that's about it for today. Why not pop over to the main site and see what the rest of the fab DT have come up with for your inspiration, then join in, we'd love to see your creations.

I shall enter the following challenges-

STAMPlorations October Challenge - Stamps and embossing
Love Rubberstamps - Anything Goes

Here come the girls

Good morning, good morning, good morning.
Hope you are all up and about on this autumnal weekend.
My daughter asked me to make a card for her friend's imminent baby girl so I decided to link it to this weeks theme at Fantasy Stampers of -

HERE COME THE GIRLS

Well hopefully all will be well when Nich's friend has her baby, just the one baby girl so perhaps it should be here comes the girl!

Now Nich is not a great one for pink but it is for a little girl so I'm sure she will allow this for once.
The phrase is computer generated but the teddy is from a new set of stamps by Kaisercraft - Teddy Bear's Picnic. The pink gingham paper was from the stash as were the buttons and the frame was a Spellbinders die. The little bear was coloured using Copics and fussy cut. I softened the pink by using a little bit of lemon card for the frames.
OK so why not pop along to the main blog to see what the other girls have been up to for your inspiration
I shall enter it into the following challenges:-
City Crafter Challenge - Focus on the sentiment
Sketchy Colours - Pink, brown and yellow
Simply Create Too - Special Occasion

Thanks for popping by, see you again sometime.

Hearts n Flowers

Morning peeps.
This is a scheduled post as I am entertaining a few friends for a couple of days.
Hope all you teachers in England are ready for the new term ahead, and all parents are ready to see their little ones back at school.
My Grandson is starting school on Tuesday, I can't believe it he's only just 4!
Anyway, it's time for another challenge at Fantasy Stampers.
This time we would like to see your projects which combine:-

HEARTS and FLOWERS

This was an easy one for me as I had to make a wedding card for Nich for her friend Maria's wedding so here it is.

Nich isn't one for lots of flowers but Maria's theme was English Country gardens so I kept it pretty plain and added touches of NitWits papers.
The stamp is from LOTV as is the sentiment and the heart shapes were cut using my NBUS Little B heart dies.
The white background was embossed using a Cuttlebug Swiss dot embossing folder after cutting the aperture. The green swirls were die cut using a Marianne die and flowers were from the stash. I used Copics to colour the bride and groom. The whole lot is on a 6 x 6 white base card.

Please pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to then why not join in. Just remember there must be some form of traditional stamping on your project.

I shall enter this card into the following challenges:-

Creative Inspirations - Flower Power
Stamping Sensations - Anything Goes
Penny Black and More - Anything Goes
Simply Create Too - Something new (My Little B hearts)

Numbered Birthday

Good morning everyone, the weekend is here again so it's time for crafting with us at Fantasy Stampers .
This week the lovely Jan has chosen the theme of -

 Numbered Birthday

We are always need a card like that, young or old, male or female. My inspiration for the DT is this pretty girlie card.

I  put a 60 on the card, however you could put any number you want. Wouldn't it be great to make a card with a personal touch and use the actual age of the recipient. Don't do what I did to my SiL though and made her a year older than she was! The sketch is also great for a guy's card just change the DP to a more masculine pallette and match your image colouring to the papers you choose.
I used some off cuts of my favourite Nit Wits Perfect Pear set from an other project as this sketch layout is great for using up odd bits n bobs. The trick is to bring the colours together in your image. The squares were punched out using a Woodware punch but you could just cut them using a paper trimmer. They were then placed on a matching piece of card leaving an even gap between the DP squares and mounted on a 6 x 6 white base card. I've kept it clean and simple without too many added extras.
This image is LOTV's New Hat stamp coloured with Copics as follows-
Pink - RV10,13,15
Green - YG11,13,17
Hat n Hair - YR21, E30,31,33,35,37
Skin - E000,00,11,R20

Right now it's your turn, pop over to Fantasy Stampers to check out what the other DT members have prepared for your inspiration and join in.
I shall enter this in the following challenges -

Sweet Stampin' - Hats, heels and handbags
Clear it out - Your style (Clean n Simple) Your stash ( Nitwits papers)
The ABC challenge - Keep it Simple
Without Words - Pink and or Purple and Green

Silhouette

Good morning all.
It's Saturday so it's time for a new challenge over at Fantasy Stampers. This fortnight it's-

SILHOUETTE

This topic more or less speaks for itself. This is my contribution to the DT inspiration.

I have gone down the CAS route again, I seem to be taking refuge in this style more and more. I have never been someone who throws everything at a design so the style really appeals. It does take a little more planning but once you have decided what you want you are away.

I started by making a mask by cutting a rectangle out of a piece of card to ink through. Having secured the mask over the white base I blended Festive Berries, Squeezed Lemonade, Weathered Wood and Black Soot DIs to create a soft sunset background. After removing the mask I stamped the images in Versafine Onyx Black, allowing some of the foliage to come onto the white border. The stamps are from a Sheena Douglas set A little bit Scenic - Silhouette Grasses. The greeting from LOTV was also stamped using Black Onyx. The card was trimmed to just shy of A6 then mounted with pads on a matching soft pink A6 easel card so that there is just a peek of pink showing.

Well now it's up to you to have a go. Why not visit the rest of the DT to see what inspiration they can give you.

Thanks to my new colleague Cindy for pointing me in the direction of  Fashionable Stampers Challenge which is also asking for Silhouettes.

Love and Cherish

Good Morning, thanks for stopping by.
Our new theme at Fantasy Stampers is:-

Love and Cherish

Love is in the air this week, with Valentines Day a week on Friday. Personally I don't bother with cards etc., and neither does Al. He always says that if he gave me flowers I would wonder what he was guilty of. I don't believe you need a special day when you have a 'special' relationship. Anyway I needed to make a card as my DT creation so here goes:-

As I said earlier I don't usually do Valentine cards so don't have many themed stamps. I had a couple of stamps but they were not quite right but then I had some inspiration. This little bear should be carrying a parcel but I managed to mask off the parcel and create a heart shape which fit in the space. I coloured him using Copics as follows:-

Bear - E30,31,33,35,37
Hearts - R39,37,35,32

This is a 5 x 7 base card which I stamped directly on. I found some small heart stamps and decided to create a tumble of hearts with them and drew some freehand to fill the space. The greeting and bear are Do Crafts. I drew some tiny hearts with an embossing pen where the pink rectangle was going to be then embossed them with white. I cut out a ragged square using a Marianne (CR1254) Craftable die to use as a mask to create the pink background. It was too large but I liked the uneven edge it left, so I had to move it around and mask off the rest when using it. Using a mixture of picked raspberry and tattered rose distress ink, I inked the area behind the bear. The bear was cut out and mounted on pads.

Well that's it, hope you could follow all that.
Thanks again for stopping by.

I shall enter it in the following challenges:-
ATSM - photo inspiration
A Creative Romance - Show us some love
Sweet Stampin - Love/Valentines
