It's Sunday so it must be CAS

Afternoon folks and thanks for calling around.
The weather is so much better today but it looks as though we need to make the most of it before the deluge begins again!
Apologies if you need translator, it appears on template but not on the side bar! Any answers folks?
My Grandson and his Mum and Dad were here yesterday so not much crafting, except Ben 'made' a card for his Nanee in Wigan. Actually I cut the letters and picture out and he stuck them on the card with a little help. Hope Jill likes it.

He might be only 3 and a half but he knows his letters and is quite precise.

Anyway as its says at the top it's Sunday so it must be CAS.

This weeks card is an amalgam of various challenges, CASology -purple, CAS on Sunday -making the rounds and CASual Friday - over the edge.

I used a Mojo Monday sketch as the inspiration, a little bit of Ying and Yang.
Circular cards tend to fall over so I decided to make an easel card this time.

The bottom half of the card was embossed using a Swiss dot CB folder then flowers from a Sizzix thinlets set were die cut in purple with purple sequin centers and stuck along the edge of the curve. The smaller flowers were punched in white and had diamantes in their middles.
To hold the easel card up, I attached a purple flower to a strip of white card stamped with a LOTV sentiment on pads.

I shall enter it in the following challenges.
CASology - Purple
CAS on Sunday - Making the rounds
CAS-ual Fridays - Over the edge

Don't forget there's still time to enter this weeks Cardz4Guyz challenge - Horses , as it was Chinese New Year on Friday.

That's it for today then, thanks for stopping by.

Blue and brown Christmas

Evening folks.
I still can't get my head around these dark nights, they seem to eat up the daylight before you realize it.
Today's card is back to a theme I visited a few weeks ago, brown 'n' blue.
The inspiration was a Copic challenge which I like to read.

I've gone for the lovely little dancers from LOTV again, this time they are in a very subtle palette of brown n blue. I used Copics to colour as follows:-
Skin - E000,00,11,R11
Hair - Y21,E41,42,47,E35
Dresses etc - B32, 34,39, 93,95,97,99, C0,03,05
Shadow - BG10

The papers are Frosty Christmas from LOTV and NitWits Promises edged in Frayed Burlap from Tim Holtz. The snowflake border is a Memory Box die. Ribbons, lace, etc. and buttons from the stash, (it doesn't appear to be getting any smaller!).

I shall enter it in the following challenges:-

Copic Marker Norge - Christmas in Brown n Blue
Crafty Ribbons - Anything goes with ribbon
ABC- Z for zebra or stripes

Well that's all for now, 'Strictly' is off to Blackpool tonight and I need to get the tea done before the glitter ball twirls.
Bye

Pretty in Pink

Evening all. Well the nights are closing in and someone down the road has had their Christmas lights up since the beginning of the month. Think that's a bit too soon myself. It's also Breast Cancer awareness month, a cause very close to my heart. In view of this I thought I would post another Christmas inspired card with a little bit of pink! Its using the same LOTV angel stamp as before but on a larger scale card.

I just love these cute little angels. The paper is Nit Wits Merry and Bright mounted on lime card. The paper and card is edged in Tim Holtz 'Tumbled Glass' The angels smocks are coloured in Copic using RV21,23, 29 (although they don't look pink in the picture) as are the poinsettia sepals. I used a Sizzix labels die to cut the image and mount and a Lecrea poinsettia die. The large snowflake was from a Sizzix die. Ribbon as always from the stash.

I will enter it for the following challenges:-
Crafty Little Fairies:- Christmas in October
Crafty Ribbons :- Anything goes with Ribbon

Not a square

Good afternoon. Still no life in my laptop so have been looking at getting a new one. Husband has asked me to look at some on line but I don't know one from another, except I don't want the latest Windows. It drove me mad when I used it on another computer.
Anyway while I haven't been able to blog I have been making and I think I have managed to down load a few pictures.

I made a couple of easel cards, this is the smaller one which I think I like best,
The image is from LOTV and the papers are Merry and Bright from Nit Wits. I used Copics to colour the image and Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink to edge. The snowflakes were from a Martha Stewart Artic snowflake punch with crystals from the stash. The die cuts are from a Sizzix Framelets- Labels die set.

I am entering this into:-
Creative Inspirations Challenge - Not a square or rectangle
Ribbon Girls - Make it Sparkly

Bye for now, thanks for stopping by.
