Uniko challenge

Good morning.
I hope you are all well and not struggling too much with everything going on at the moment.
If you are struggling to occupy your spare moments, perhaps you might like to join us for Uniko's latest challenge.
Here is my card based on the theme.

As usual I needed to get some inspiration for my design, so used a couple of challenges out there. I used the colour theme at Less is More and the layout from Freshly Made Sketches.
The gifts were made by stamping Background Blocks Scattered Polka Dots and Background Blocks Pinstripe I on scrap card. The pink dotty one was embossed with white EP and inked with Picked Raspberry DI, The tall red one was inked with Altenew's Ruby Red, then stamped with Pinstripe Blocks and embossed with clear gloss EP. Finally the smallest was stamped with Picked Raspberry DI and heat embossed with clear gloss EP.

The little bows were die cut from grey using a Memory Box die as well as some thin strips of the same grey card. A larger strip of the grey card was attached to the base card before adding the sentiment strip, made from Pure Forals Peony.
The completed 'gifts were added and a few tiny sequins added to complete.
I think the design is quite versatile, leave the sequins off and change the colours and it would make a great masculine card or use Christmas stamps and change the sentiment for a quick Christmas card.

Check out the rest of the team at the Uniko blog for more inspiration.
Before I forget please also check out the work of our guest designer, the fab MacMable.
All Ts and Cs can be found on the Uniko blog.

Release day at Uniko and a Treasure Hunt!

Woohoo!
Finally the day has arrived and the 7th Birthday February 2019 Reveal, Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY is here! You can get your hands on the new release HERE at a NEW time of 9pm GMT tonight.

Ok, so how about a closer look at the 6 new clear stamp set designs, 2 coordinating designer die collections as well as 1 Stencil Design being released later today.
There's lots to see so grab a cuppa and settle down.

Here's my first card using Birthday Wishes and You Are, Yes You.

The panel was stamped along with the blue panel from this card. This time I used a semi dull EP and it didn't show up as much as the gloss, so I had to ink the pink card with some Seedless Preserve DI to make it stand out, but I quite like the softer look. The bloom was stamped twice, coloured and then one cut and each half slipped behind to create a fuller bloom. No need for an extra sentiment as there are plenty in the background!

This card uses mainly these fab sets.

This little gem is a Release Day FREEBIE clear stamp set.
It will be automatically added to release day orders of £25 or more up until Sunday 17th Feb 9pm GMT or while stock lasts.
After 9pm GMT Sunday 17th February, if there is stock remaining it will be made available for purchase at £5.

My second card uses the sentiments from the You Are, Yes You set and the Graffiti Background Block stamp.

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch for my layout, stamping some pink card with Memento Love Letter ink then added some semi dull EP and heat embossed. The hearts were die cut from a panel of the pink card inked again with Love Letter and the embossing powder. I decided to add some Glossy Accents to the hearts  and popped them up on pads. My sentiment is stamped with the same Love Letter ink.

My third card again uses the sweet bloom stamp from You Are, Yes You as well as the fab Pinstripe Background Block stamp.

This time my inspiration were the colours from Color Throwdown.
I repeat stamped the pinstripes using my Zig brushes to ink it up to create the pattern. On a separate panel of white, I stamped a row of blooms and then cut it down with a scalloped edge die from MFT.
I used my Copics to colour and added a sentiment from the Birthday Sentiment Blocks set, white EP over red.

My final card combines the Abstract Triangle stencil with the Passiflora stamps and dies.

Over at CAS stencil the theme is Ink powders and stencils, so I thought I would get my Brushos out and have a play with the new stencil. I'd seen this photo on Google whilst looking for colouring inspiration and thought the stencil could work as trellis.

I taped down my panel of Mixed Media paper to my board and placed the stencil on top. Carefully adding my Brusho, Turquoise and Prussian Blue and Sea Green, I think! The blue suggests sky, a tad brighter than the brick wall in the pic, the green and purple echo the blooms of the passion flower. I then spritzed the stencil with water and whipped it away quickly before the liquid oozed underneath!
Once dry I trimmed it down to size and glued it behind a die cut frame from my stash.

The passion flower was stamped using Momento inks and die cut, then arranged in the top right.
I originally put the finished panel on a white base card but for some reason the frame looked a different colour so I decided to use a coloured card and plumped for this purple which I think works better, picking up the purple of the blooms and inked panel. My sentiment from Birthday Sentiments is stamped in matching purple Memento.

Introducing Uniko's Yes You and Background Blocks Pinstripe

Morning all.
It's the final day of the release introductions at Uniko, tomorrow is the big release day!
Today we are introducing another addition to the background blocks stable - Pinstripe.
I love this new stamp and saw lots of possibilities for its use! Here is one of them.

Using my Misti, I inked up the stamp with white ink and stamped a panel of grey card from the stash. The width was too small for full coverage so after cleaning, I repositioned it and reinked and stamped to create my panel.
The second element of my card is the flower. This set is being offered as a freebie with orders over 25 pounds. until stocks last.  I stamped the bloom and a couple of leaf sprigs and coloured them with Copic markers, before fussy cutting them and arranging them into a spray on a die cut white panel.
This was then stamped with one of the Birthday Wishes sentiments and popped up on pads. A few Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins complete.

So that's all of the intros complete, tomorrow  you can purchase them yourself . What are your thoughts on the release we'd love to hear.
If we have we inspired you to grab these stamps for yourself our job is done but below are the links to the DT for more inspiration, should you want it!
