Anything Goes Challenge #131

Welcome back to my late night post for the next challenge over at ATSM. This week our theme is -

ANYTHING GOES

A very broad remit here, always a struggle with so many ideas flowing through my mind. Anyhow this is what I came up with after thinking about a few challenges.

This week we are sponsored by -

Who are offering 4 digis from the store to the winner.

In my card I used one of their images from Connie Fong - Tori the Dragon, Raining Hearts, isn't he cute.
The digi comes with a few more hearts than I wanted to have on the card so after using Copics to colour, I fussy cut him out. As the latest challenge at Virginia's View is a shaker card I decided to go down that route.

I die cut the heart aperture using my Little B hearts but for something different I raised the heart panel up on pads above the base. I used some Forever Friends dp with little red hearts under the shaker and then added some red sequins and a few bugle beads.
The challenge at ATCAS is Hugs and Kisses so I stamped the FF greeting in red to finish the card off.
I shall also enter at Mixed Media, although I forgot to include some tiny red buttons in the shaker before I stuck it down! Hope I still qualify.

Allsorts - Love is all around

OK, that's it from me. Pop over to the main site and check out the rest of the DT's fab inspiration and join us this week.

CAS @ATSM

Hi, it's another late post for me as it's 9am in Australia and time for a new challenge over at ATSM.
This week out theme is -

 CAS

Well that's right down my alley and double joy we are sponsored this week by Shery at STAMPlorations.
So without further ado here is my card for your delectation and inspiration.

This is based on the latest sketch over at Less is More.

I used the stamp set 'It's Your Day' from STAMPlorations, stamping the greeting square a few times on white and heat embossing in silver before cutting a panel out using my Die-namics pierced rectangles. I followed the instructions on Chrissie's video for extending the length of dies.
The cake was stamped then the icing was coloured to match the main panel using Copics then the cake and candle flames were done in similar fashion. The cupcake wrap, plate and candles were embossed using a Versamark pen then heat embossed in silver. I then fussy cut the cake and popped it up on pads. I considered long and hard whether to have a white border or not or a pink one, well you can see I went with the former!
OK,  why not pop over to the maine ATSM site to check out the rest of the fab DT's inspiration and join in. You could be the winner of a $10 gift certificate from

I shall also enter at -

Make Your Mark @ATSM

Welcome back to my late night post for the brand new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More. Our first challenge of 2015 is-

MAKE YOUR MARK

So lots of scope there! For my DT card I also took inspiration from a couple of other challenges and came up with this.

I started with the idea from Less is More where their challenge is OL with the theme of New Beginnings. I was slightly stumped I must say by the stamps available  to me then I eventually went with an old favourite, my MB Calm Countryside die and a MB Country Landscape one.
I cut the Calm Countryside from my base card then cut part of the Landscape die from the waste to show one house and a couple of trees. I inked the sky with DIs and coloured the trees, house and grass in Copics, adding a little path. I added a bit of colour to the clouds to give them a little definition and stamped a congratulations on the base card. I then replaced all the little bits to create a OL card.
I think Nich might be asking for a New Home card soon as one of her friends is hoping to move house so this should suit.

This week we are sponsored by

who are offering a 20$ gift certificate, so that's a fantastic incentive to have a go and join in.

I shall also enter the following challenges -

Allsorts - New and Cute
The Male Room - New Beginnings

OK, that's about it, hop over to the main site and check out the rest of the team's fab inspiration and meet the newbies on the block as well as say hi to the oldies.

Congratulations Marina

Hi, just a quick post to go with my extra card for ATSM this week.
Although it is not my week to make an inspiration card, I have made an extra one to celebrate the forthcoming nuptials of one our retiring teamies, Marina.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I hope you and your future hubby will have a long and happy marriage.
Here is my card to celebrate the happy day.

Sorry for the poor quality of the photo but it was very bright when I took the photo and the silver embossing kept reflecting and this was the compromise!

As this weeks challenge is

ANYTHING GOES,

you've got free rein!
I used one of my new STAMPlorations boxed blooms and the silver embossed sentiments were from the same stamp club set.
The rose was stamped then embossed in white and w/c with DIs. I do love these flower stamps by Shery, so easy to colour! I cut an aperture in the top layer to allow the rose to show through, using a square of the same size from my Cookie Cutter set. Sentiment words stamped and embossed above and below the aperture in silver.

I shall enter the following challenges:-

Either Stamps and flowers May 2014
or
Stamps and embossing October 2104

STAMPlorations - On going challenge
Penny Black and More - Special Occasion

OK, why not join in and perhaps you could make it a congrats to Marina too!
Pop over to the main blog and check out the rest of the fabulous DT to see what they have made to inspire you.

Jingle all the way @ ATSM

Good evening, this is a scheduled post as this is way past my bedtime!
Its time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and this week our theme is -

HOLIDAY

With Christmas just around the corner it was a no brainer as to which holiday I went with, with this card -

The latest challenge over at Less is More is 'Jingle all the way' so this card was made with this in mind. The stamp is one I bought from a bargain bucket a couple of years ago and its called 'Jingle Bells' by Sugar Nellie. I stamped the image,  coloured it with Copics, then fussy cut the top half and left the bottom half as a snow drift. I added stickles and drew the reins on the embossed background (Cuttlebug Snowflakes) after I had stuck the image down onto the white base card.
I ummed and ahhed over adding a sentiment added one then took it off.

What do you think?

This week we are sponsored by Rick St.Dennis,

who is offering 3 digis to the lucky winner.
As they say you have to be in it to win it, so get your skates on, pop over to see what the rest of the fab DT have made for your inspiration and join in.

I shall enter the following challenges:-

Less is More - Jingle all the way
Without Words - Preparing for Christmas
Thanks for reading to the end and for your comment if you left one.
See you around here again soon.

CAS @ATSM

Good evening or is it good day or morning?
I suppose it depends on where you are, LOL.
My the day's are flying by and the shops are filling up with Christmas goodies. Since we moved house this year I must get my Christmas cards done so I can send them a little earlier with the new address in so I took the opportunity of our new challenge over at ATSM to make another.
Here it is -

As the challenge is CAS, I kept it simple and followed the sketch over at Crazy4 for CAS.

The Brushos came out to create the background which I stamped with snowflakes and heat embossed in white when dry. The top panel had 3 circles cut out to match the sketch then embossed with a Cuttlebug 'Snow' folder and then I added the sentiment, a freebie from a mag last year.
Behind this card there is a tale. Suffice to say I couldn't find my snowflake stamps. I had them in a drawer then decided to put them somewhere safe earlier this year. So safe in fact, I can't find them!!!!
I shall probably come across them next summer! It's a good excuse for a bit of retail therapy anyway.
The stamped  panel was stuck flat to the card and the embossed top was popped up on pads.

This week we are sponsored by

who are offering 3 digis to the winner, so come on and join in.
If you need extra inspiration please check out the rest of the very talented DT.

I shall also enter the following challenges -

Crazy for CAS - sketch
Allsorts - Christmas

Thanks for stopping by, see you again sometime.

Photo Inspiration @ATSM

Good morning.
Is it really a fortnight since my last DT for Addicted to Stamps and More?
Well this Indian Summer of ours continues so the trees around here aren't quite in their full autumnal glory yet but a couple of sharp frosts and they will.

This week at Addicted to Stamps and More its our picture inspiration week and this is my interpretation,

and this is the picture we would like to inspire you with -

I took inspiration in the horizontal shuttering, leaves and colours to create my card.
I didn't have an embossing folder with broad stripes so had to think how to make the background. In the end I cut strips of card and mounted them on a small piece of card at both ends then ran my panel through my Grand Caliber. I was quite pleased with the result, not as crisp as a proper folder by I quite liked the slight irregularity.
I'm afraid the Brusho came out again as I think its a great way to get intense colour in a random way. I changed my mind after creating a panel to out out the foliage so cut it out then inked it again with those fab little crystals. I added a strip of burlap/hessian, small tag sentiment and some linen twine to complete.
Why not pop over to the main blog and check what the rest of the girls have come up with I'm sure you will be inspired by their fantastic work.

This week we are sponsored by

who are offering 5 digis to the winner!

OK, over to you and good luck.

I shall be entering the following challenges:-

Just us Girls - Photo
Crazy 4 Challenges - Leaves or a leaf
Make My Monday - Die cuts - punches
edited 3/10 Ruby's Rainbow - Autumn Leaves

ATSM Challenge #111

Hi, thanks for calling around.
It's time for a new challenge at

This week our sponsors are

who are giving away 5 digis to the winner

This is an
  ANYTHING GOES
challenge, so the world is your oyster, so to speak.
The DT are dedicating this challenge to one of our original DT members Marie ( baileyrosey.com) who is currently on the DT for our sister challenge Addicted to CAS. She is going through a really rough time at the moment and we thought it would be nice to get a linky going in her honour just to cheer her up a little. So if you would like to send your best wishes just link your project as usual to the ATSM site and mention Marie in your post if you would like.

Here is my card for your inspiration.

I was influenced by a couple of challenges while making this card.

Black and White plus one other colour

a sketch

( rotated and mirrored it)

and the

I chose lime for my extra colour as my friend Di is redecorating using this as a focal colour and it went well with what I had in mind for the flower. Nich bought me some flowers for lending her my car when her's was stolen and one of them was a spray of chrysanthemums in lime green as well as one in white.  I used an old Sizzix daisy Bigz die cut several times in copy paper and also in the green card for the center. The leaves are cut down MB Fresh Foliage and Grove Branch. The white panel was cut from the Tessatina Border also from Memory Box. I went with a black panel after the picture at The Cutting Edge inspiration photo but went with a white base for added contrast.
OK that's a wrap as they say.
Pop over to the ATSM blog and check out what the rest of the gang have made to inspire you and join us.

Thanks for stopping by, come back soon.

Make your mark at ATSM

Morning all, today marks the start of a new challenge at ATSM.
This week we are asking for you to create a project by

Making your Mark

So any project that includes inks, markers, pencils etc as the main focus.
This week we are sponsored by

who are offering a prize of 5 digis

Here is my card for the DT inspiration.

I made it with a couple of challenges in mind.

Less is More - colour challenge

Allsorts -  Favourite things

I so love this die from Memory Box, I don't get fed up using it. I looked to get another similar but the one I got doesn't have the same appeal when I tried to use it. This Glorious Gardenia is just so versatile.
I used DIs to watercolour the base then put a silver die cut on top with a few spots of colour.

The end result is never very precise using this method but the overlay of the die cut sharpens up the result. I used a few sequins and some lime bling as well as a sentiment die cut from Spellbinders 'Celebration 2' in black. The colour in the photo is a little bluer than the original for some reason.

OK that's about it, so why not pop over to see what the rest of the glorious DT have created for your inspiration, then join in, simples.
