Tic Tac Toe

Good morning all.
Another Thursday is here so it means that there is a new challenge over at Cardz4Galz.
This fortnight our theme is

FANTASTIC FLORALS

Who doesn't like flowers?
So we'd love to see your floral inspired cards, here's mine.

I used the sketch from The Challenge and the colours and die cuts from The Paper Players Tic Tac Toe board.
I haven't used my MB glorious gardenia die for a while so brought it out for this card. I cut the background panel for two cuts and sketched in the petals and leaves with washes of DI in yellow and green, then stamped and embossed in white the greeting on a black banner die.
Quite a simple card once I'd decided on the design.
Now its over to you , what will you create? We'd love to see.

G'Day Cobber

Good evening and welcome to a post to announce the latest challenge at ATSM.
This week we are looking to see your projects that are -

CAS

The CAS week is one of my favourites but I always end up with far too many ideas bouncing around my head so for this card I took inspiration from the challenge over at Less is More.

This week their challenge is Down Under in homage to our wonderful leader Kylie who is sponsoring their challenge.
So when I saw this I had to take part. My first thoughts were Christmas on the beach but the more I thought about it the song by Men at Work - Down Under kept creeping in. At Muse this week Michele (I card everything) challenged us to make a card based on a song as well, so I loved the idea of doing something that related to this. I checked out the video of this 80's classic and saw a picture of the fried out Combie in the lyrics  and thought immediately of this image. I added the stereotypical greeting freehand and mounted the 'Combie' on a tag coloured blue at the top and with a sandpaper bottom. I know the old geezer isn't like the guy in the video but hey you can't have it all!

Over at ATMS, this week we are sponsored by

who are offering a $12 gift certificate to the winner.

So why not visit the rest of the DT and join in?

It's your Birthday!

Good morning again.
Tuesday's mean a new challenge over at Cardz4Guyz.
This week we want you to make a MASCULINE project on the theme of -

Sparkle and Shine

I know, this is a masculine challenge but sometimes you can add a little bit of sparkle and shine!

Here is my interpretation of this week's theme.

I was influenced by the latest sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch

As you can see I was pretty literal in my interpretation of this sketch but kept it pretty masculine by using blue and a dark gold glitter card for the die cut sentiment. A CAS interpretation also adds masculinity.
First I took a panel of white card and inked a soft blue sky with Salty Ocean DI then spritzed it with my homemade shimmer spray (Inka Gold wax in platinum and a touch of steelblue mixed with water)
I used some pearly card, glossy white card and vellum for my die cut clouds and some gold mirror card for the sun's rays. I made this by cutting out a scallopped circle then embossed a stitched circle for the sun and cut away the panels to leave the rays. I still had my Sizzix sizzlets 'Endless Love' alphabet dies out so they were added into the mix to make the sparkly 'Shine'. The stamped sentiment is from a Crafters Companion set.

OK, that's me done, now it's over to you, please check out the rest of the DT for more ideas.

Old Rocker

Good morning.
It's been a bit of a blustery night to put it mildly so hope I find you well and secure!
As I'm here early on a Tuesday it must mean it's time for a new challenge over at Cards und More.
This week you have free reign as our theme is -

ANYTHING GOES

For this challenge we are sponsored by DR DIGI so I've used this image, Bring on the Noise.

After printing out, I coloured him with Copics then fussy cut him out.

For my layout I used the sketch from Seize the Birthday and NitWits papers. The inside says
'Have an Amazing Birthday' from a STAMPloration's Party Time greetings set. The 'Awesome' greeting is stamped using part of a Woodware set and coloured to match the DPs. The U and R  were cut using a MFT die and I added a white border to make them stand out.
So that's about it really.
This week's sponsor

is offering 2 digis of your choice to the winner chosen at random.

Well as you may be able to tell from the title my bloggy friend and fellow teamie Dee (Dee's Art Utopia) has given birth to a lovely baby boy on 29th January.
So we at STAMPlorations and other friends are sending her and hubby Vikas our best wishes on the safe arrival of baby Siddharth by holding a blog hop.
You are all welcome to join us and link up here with your baby cards if you wish.

So without further ado here is my card.
