This week our theme is:-
DISTRESSING
Here's my take on the theme.
I used an embossed panel that I created a few months ago, being inspired by my friend, the very talented Loll Thompson, and had in my stash. It was made using a very old Cuttlebug EF and some green mirror card, that I distressed by sanding back the raised areas with some fine grade sandpaper to reveal the core. I used an MFT die to cut out a portion and added it to a white A6 note card. The greeting from an unnamed set, was stamped in red above the panel, simples, it would be great for mass production as it was so easy to make!

Favourite Metallic or Glitter card
I do like a bit of glitter but not the mess! Mirror card is tricky to photograph but the distressing has taken a lot of the shine off and I love the technique with the mirror card.
Sand paper works perfect for distressing!! Like me you had Christmas on your mind!! Beautiful!! Your card is sure to inspire others to play along with our new "distressing" challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz!!

ReplyDeleteStunning, shiny ornament card, Julie! I love the wonderful contrast of the embossed green mirror card piece to the white, and the distressed-look created by sanding the raised area. This technique is kind of addictive, isn't it?
