Shades of Yellow and Green

It's the first of the month and time to launch a brand new challenge blog, Color Hues, I will get used to the spelling, eventually! My spell check already shouts at me for typing COLOUR.

For our first challenge, we'd like you to create a project using just the colours listed below.

Here is my take on the challenge.

When I first heard of Nancy's concept for the challenge I immediately thought of layered stamping and dies. They are perfect for our themes, this time I chose layered die cuts with additional background stamping in shades of green.
The flowers are from Altenew, their Garden Pick dies, and I coloured each piece with graduating shades of Copic marker, yellow for the blooms and green for the leaves. I did add some v dark olive green to the centers and coloured a strip of card with the same before stamping the Uniko greeting and embossing with white EP.
The sun was quite strong when I took the photo and the colours are somewhat bleached out, especially the yellows but you get the general idea!

So for more colour themed inspiration please check out the rest of the team here and why not join in?

The challenge is open until 9:00 AM (EST) 14th Sept and the winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live.
The overall winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer!
So what are you waiting for?

  4. This is absolutely stunning! I think you're right; layering dies will be great for this challenge, but amazingly enough I don't own many. So glad to be joining you on this new adventure.
