Hello and welcome.
It's a sad post in a way, as its my final card for ATSM after 5 fabulous years on the DT. I struggled long and hard about my decision but finally thought I needed to move on.
Thanks Kylie for allowing me to be part of the team for so long and to all my ATSM DT members, past and present for your support, I'll miss you.
So to my final card for this week's challenge -
ANYTHING GOES
I decided to get my Polychromos out for this card, using Uniko's You, Yes You stamp set to create an all over design.
Stamping the panel of kraft card with a pale ink prior to colouring to get the no line effect, however, I was called away before I started to add the colour and my initial stamping dried so much it almost disappeared! Anyway, I managed to get an outline traced and could then add some colour. using three shades of green for the foliage and three light, medium and dark purples for the flower heads.
The sentiment was added using three Uniko sentiment stamp sets, You, Yes You, Christmas and Birthday Sentiments. I love the way you can make up your own phrase like this with theses sets.
I kept the area around my sentiment clear of stamping so could keep the end result one layer.
There's more fab inspiration over at the ATSM blog, so why not check out the rest of the team there.

So sorry to hear about your leaving of the team, Julie. You will be missed as well as your fabulous inspiration ! But I'm sure we will see you back, at least as one of our participants ! I'm swooning over your beautiful flowers cascade and how you succeeded this stunning no line colouring ( I also had this problem once, I had to stamped everything back !). Beautiful and delicate purple shades for those lovely flowers ! Have a fabulous day. xx
ReplyDeleteFantastic card, Julie! I love the softness and delicacy of those flowers. Stunning colouring too. So sorry to see you leave. Hugs
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job of no-lining coloring, Jules! Love the shades of purples and greens and lovely white birthday sediment! You will definitely be missed at ATSM! Thank you for all the inspiration over the years!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThey are difficult decisions to make, I did the same last year but sometimes as you say we need to move on. I adore the simplistic elegance of your card and the lilac blooms sit beautifully on the Kraft card. Thanks so much for joining in with our June theme at Penny Black and More challenge.

I always love the look of no line coloring on Kraft card stock and your card is a beautiful example of how lovely the images can look.
ReplyDeleteYour farewell card is gorgeous, it has to be a very hard decision to make especially after so many years sharing with a wonderful group of friends.
I wish you the best of luck in your new endeavors.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful and sentimental card with us at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE, hope you find some time to play again soon.
Hugs.
Maria/DT.
Wow, this is incredible Julie. That all over pattern is fantastic and the pretty colour goes so well with kraft. Amazing no lines pencil work too. You are going to be hugely missed I am sure. What bonkers weather, pouring with rain one minute and blue sky the next. My lawn hasn't been cut for a week and I am seriously considering asking Martin to use the topper to cut it!! Flaming June!! xx
ReplyDeleteThe PolyChromos look wonderful on kraft, Julie. This is such a lovely card. Thanks for sharing it with us at The Flower Challenge and at Just Us Girls.
