Hi and welcome to a post to announce the start of a new challenge over at ATSM.
This we we are asking you to
MAKE YOUR MARK
Here is my card for your inspiration.
For my layout I sort of used the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and the challenges over at Less is More and Inkspirational were there in the back of my brain for the colours and paper!
I didn't have any sympathy cards in my stash so I thought I would make one, as you never really want to make them when you need one.
For the embossed top panel I used an old ef, laying it flat on the base card, then cut a strip of black card. I cut away a circle from this strip and another from some black polka dot paper, stamping some tiny yellow flowers on a circle of white card then adding some free hand greenery. I decided to pop up the polka dot circle to give a little more dimension and make a frame, so cut away the middle another circle die to leave a frame and then finished up with a white embossed sentiment on the black strip.
This week we are sponsored by
who are offering 3 digis to our winner.
QKR Stampede and Eureka Stamps was purchased by Stamp On It in 2013 and moved to its new home in Michigan! We (Stamp On It) had its humble beginnings over 25 years ago and is now a mobile (on-the-road) family owned and operated business. We travel coast to coast and attend as a vendor over 25 retail stamping and scrapping shows each year.
For all the Ts and Cs and more fab inspiration, please check out the rest of the DT here.

Polka Dots
A lovely sympathy card; the tiny yellow flowers are ever so pretty, especially nestled in the polka-dot framing. The embossing: touch of class! An inspired and inspiring way to "make your mark'!

It's so happy and springy, but still has the somberness required for the occasion. A hard balance to strike.
ReplyDeleteA card for sad occasions, but beautiful and classy. I like the polka dot border which really sets off the flowers and black strip. Great LIM entry!
