For the women in your life

Hi and good morning to you.
It was a real miserable day yesterday, all the lambs were huddled with their mum's out of the wind so no photo opportunities. Maybe we will get another delivery from the lambing sheds today as it is supposed to be a little better.
Anyhow, here is a card I made for my DT over at Cardz4Galz.
As it is Mothering Sunday this weekend and International Women's Day the week after we would like to focus on -

WOMEN /WOMAN

Sadly it is nearly three years since my Mum passed away so no Mother's day cards for me to give, so I made my card that could be given for any occasion really.


I chose this cheeky little bear with balloons from LOTV after seeing the Muse card this week. I used one of my favourite techniques for the layout, using some NitWit papers left over from another project and colouring the bear's balloons with Copics to match the DPs. The linen effect card top was cut with a Spellbinders oval die then embossed with a freebie EF. If you do it the other way around the embossing gets flattened!
Top panel trimmed to size, grass cut with a MS punch from scraps of green, a little bit of purple at top and bottom and a sentiment finish off the scene.

Love the cute elephant with all those balloons, my teddy with his letter one's should fit the bill. The scene in the Muse card was interpreted slightly differently too, not too many liberties taken with this interpretation I hope.
