Snowy scene

Good morning all. Another Saturday and it's getting nearer to Christmas.
It's kind of snuck up on me as October whizzed by!
I've just realized that this is also my 500th post, my hasn't that caught me by suprize!
Anyway, down to business. Over at Fantasy Stampers we are asking you to get in the mood for Christmas with our latest challenge, which is

WINTER WONDERLAND

A great way into your Christmas card making!
Here is my DT inspiration.

For this scene, I used a stamp I bought earlier this year from Heartfelt Creations, Magnificent Spruce Trees.
The technique is one I saw quite sometime ago and as usual I can't remember where, sorry, I thought it made the scene a little more special.
I placed a stitched circle die cut with a circle cut out of a Post it over the main panel and attached it with a small bit of double sided tape to keep it in place while I inked the sky with a mixture of DIs in Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and Weathered Wood. Removing the Post it circle to reveal the moon, I then stamped my trio of trees from the set in Black, Chipped Sapphire and second generation Memento Nautical Blue  across the middle of the base card. When I was satisfied with the trees I popped the large circle up on pads and added some torn card snowdrifts and a sentiment. The snow was twinkled up with a little bit of Stickles and some dots of white Cosmic Shimmer PVA were added to the sky. Job done.
So now it's over to you. We'd love to see what scenes you come up with but please remember to use good old fashioned stamping as the main focus of your card. Check out the rest of the DT's fab inspiration here.

I'd like to join in over at-

  1. Gorgeous colours and very atmospheric card. The blending on the sky and the moon is so perfect and sets the scene beautifully. Love how you've popped the circle up on foam pads and all finished off with some glitter, just so gorgeous x
