Morning again.
Tuesday means another challenge over at Cardz4Guyz.
This week out theme is-
IT'S ABOUT TIME
So anything to do with clocks and timepieces of all descriptions. I was tempted to go off piste with my interpretation but in the end I kept it straight.
I used the sketch from this weeks challenge at Sketch Saurday as the main influence and as stamps in this category are thin on the ground I used a DoCrafts embossing folder and some off cuts from my stash.
After using the EF, I inked it with DIs to bring up the texture then had a scour through my stash for some clock paper. I found some odds and ends from some Graphic 45 papers from an old project but they looked a little boring on their own so I cut out what was left of the large pocket watch and cut away the face and center of the winder. I added some Glossy Accents to the case of the watch and popped it up on pads and glued the face flat. I cut out some clock fingers from some embossed black card and embossed a sentiment in gold on another scrap. The strip across the bottom of the card was also a Graphic 45 scrap. In fact all the elements of this card were from my bit boxes, yes I have lots, all colour coded, sad I know, except the base card!
OK that's about it, now it's your turn. Check out the rest of the fab DT for more inspiration if you need it.

I love the way you and Jan have made such completely different cards with the same folder! |I love the idea of colour coded bits boxes, but sorting my bits would take forever - I ought to persuade you to come and do it for me!

What a great variety of clocks you were able to scrounge from your paper bits Julie! The embossed and sponged background adds great dimension as does your large pocket watch off the edge of your design! Julia xx
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this card ~ the sketch, the coloring, the hands of the clock and especially the glossy accents ~ you rocked this theme for sure!
ReplyDeleteFabulous vintage design !
ReplyDeleteGreat minds and all that, Jules - I love this embossing folder, it's one of my favourites. You did a great job too - just goes to show the different interpretations.
