Welcome to a scheduled post to announce the latest challenge over at Addicted to Stamps.
This week its -
MAKE YOUR MARK
So anything that you have to make a mark with! Pens, inks, thread, embossing, endless possibilities.
This is my card for the DT and a couple of challenges out there!
I used the sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch for the layout and had one eye on the OLC challenge over at Less is More.
Using a bit of waste from cutting out a branch as a guide, I sketched in the position of the branch then stamped the owl from Paper Smooches Chubby Pals where I wanted it. After masking the owl with a fussy cut owl on a post it, I inked the background through a tree stencil with Tumbled Glass DI.
I used Copics to colour the owl and branch and then added some Glossy Accents to the eyes. Not sure what happened with the GA as the eyes look a tad yellow in this photo, must be something to do with the light reflecting!
This is currently winging its way to a very old friend and ex neighbour, who used to take me to football matches when I was in my teens. She is a sports fanatic and a very keen Sheffield Wednesday supporter. We have this thing that I try to send her something linked to owls, nickname of Sheffield Wednesday FC, for birthdays and Christmas. This is this year's offering! Apprently she has kept them all from years gone by!
Anyway why not join us over at ATSM.
This week we are sponsored by
who are offering a 20$ gift certificate to the lucky winner chosen by the DT.

Dear Jules, what a cute owl card! Isn´t it funny, that we both had the idea to enter the Eyes on layer challenge with our design team ATSM cards at SLIM as well? hihi. And you are completely right, your owl could be a brother of my monster and actually I posted their big uncle for the CAS(E) this sketch challenge (the sketch challenge, that you used here), haha! So fun to be on the same path with you!
ReplyDeleteMonster hugs from stemeplfrida
