Tour de France

Good morning.
Well the summer seems to have deserted us this week and a frost is forecast for Wednesday!
Well a good excuse if you needed one to get in your craft room and play along with this week's challenge over at Cardz4Guyz. This week we would like to see your projects for the men in your life

Beginning with the letter T

Now I scratched my head and came up with quite a few options, Teddies, Ties, TV, Transport, Toys, Tots. Tractor but just as I was deciding what to use from my stash the news came on about the results for the latest stage of the TOUR DE FRANCE. My hubby loves this and was a tad disappointed last year that we had moved away from Yorkshire and could not use it as an excuse to visit the Grande Depart. (I think he could have made the effort but between you and me his knees aren't up to it!) Anyway he watches the hi lights programme every night, so I went with that as my beginning with T.

My card uses the colours of the jersey's awarded to the top competitors,
YELLOW - Race Leader
WHITE with RED polka Dots - King of the Mountain
GREEN - Most points won (in sprints usually)
WHITE - Best Young Rider
and a little bit of blue for the SKY team of the eventual winner Chris Froome,
as well as a little boy (LOTV) who could well be a future star!
I used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday as the basis for my design, the DP is from NitWits, image coloured with Copics as usual and a few bits of Card Candi.

OK, now it's your turn. For more inspiration please visit the rest of the DT.

I'm joining in the fun at:-

  10. A delightfully coloured little boy (I especially like his "yellow jersey") and perfect paper choices too. I'm not sure that the Tour de France would allow the cute puppy in their race but I LOVE him! Thank you so much for playing along with us at Sketch Saturday with this lovely card. Hugs, Lesley
