Evening all.
Just got in from rounding up the sheep to their over night quarters, don't like to leave them in the house field, just in case one or two seek the juicy pastures that are the lawn and wildflower meadow!
We had over 50 chopping their way through the grass on Boxing Day!
The quiet has descended following a super day for Ben's birthday yesterday. The sun shone but it was just right not too hot and the kids had a whale of a time with the water pistols, clambering over the old tractor and train spotting.
I spent a little time in the craft room this aft playing and relaxing after the birthday boy got his Mum and Dad up at 5 and us at 6. This is the result.
I don't have much in the way of beach stamps so I went with a little sponged inky scene and a shaker. The darker granules are some teeny tiny glass beads I bought 10 years ago and have been languishing in the bits box. Wish I hadn't started 'cos it gets everywhere and adheres to any sticky surface! The lighter 'sand' is a bit of sandpaper, fine grade that I was using to sharpen a punch. I used the wrong side of some linen effect card for this as the pattern was a little harsh but the wrong side gave enough texture to give added interest. Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.
