Morning bloggers.
It's Tuesday so it's time for a brand new challenge over at Cardz4Guyz.
This week we would like to see your projects for the men in your life based on the theme of -
BIRDS
When I looked through the stash for inspiration, I pulled out a few bird stamps but eventually went with this Canada goose from Stampin Up's Wetland set. It reminds me of the geese we have over on our large pond. The only downside is the mess they leave on the bankside!
I wanted an aperture for the scene behind the goose so I marked where I wanted the opening before stamping the goose then masking the goose and using the bottom of the stamp to extend the grass.
I then cut the goose's neck and head out so I could cut the circle aperture with a die.
I used some inking and masking to create the background scenery and stamped a few trees in DI but used Copics to colour the goose and grass as I had stamped the image in Memento!
The greeting is from a new soon to be released set from STAMPlorations, Party Time, stamped in Memento Grey Flannel.
OK, that's about that. Pop over to the main blog to check out the rest of the DT's fab inspirational projects and why not join in.
I'm joining in at -
Two legs or Four.

You've created a really beautiful scene Jules. So peaceful! Great job with the die-cutting ... I have not been able to figure out partial die-cutting yet ... and it's not for lack of trying! ;) Thanks for playing along at ATCAS. xx

This is such a great scene Julie!
ReplyDeleteI've used this stamp to stick his head out of the die-cut circle but not to put his head into it!
Looks fab!

Also love what you've done with it - great inspiration! Have several brothers and other men I make cards for so am always open for fresh ideas. Sorry I don't have a blog - I'm probably referred to as a 'lurker.' TFS
