In the garden

Good morning.
As it's Tuesday it must mean a new challenge over at Cardz4Guyz.
This week we would like to see your projects with the theme of-

GARDENING

So what will you make of that? Here is what I made for my DT inspiration.

As soon as I saw the topic I knew which stamp I was going to use, it's a LOTV one I've not inked up before! I'm currently without a veg plot as the builders have been trashing the plot skimming the old brick walls so when that's all finished hubster is going to build me some raised beds.
Anyway, this card was made using the latest sketch at Sketch Saturday (rotated 90 degrees) with a little bit of twine and a tag greeting added. The DP reminded me of a shed so thought it highly appropriate!

Piecing all those triangles back together was a job and a half! I've also noticed that it's not a 100% the same, hope it's OK!
I used Copics to colour andbecause I'd run out of brown card I coloured a piece of white with Copics to match, quite a good idea to coordinate the papers and mount I picked up at class.

OK, that's about it for the moment. Pop along and check out the rest of the DT and GDs and join in.
If you would like to join us as a GD please add GDT after your name on your entry. We aim to prove that making cards for the men in your life isn't as difficult as you thought.

  6. I really love this card, Julie! The woodgrain background is perfect and I love how the angles add so much dimension! Beautiful coloring with your Copics, too!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such sweet comments! The bird on my tag is part of a PTI stamp and die set called Feather Finery. He has a lot of texture on his belly, tail and wings, so the ombre inks work well :)
