LIM take two

Morning all.
I was up early this morning as Max the dog decided the dawn chorus at 4:30 was his cue to get us up. I felt sorry for Al, so said I would take Max out so he could have a bit more shut eye before work.
I thought Max would settle afterwards but he wouldn't so we went out again before nine for a long walk!
So now I'm sitting quietly blogging!

I got a free set of Indigo Blu stamps in this months Simply Cards and Papercraft, so thought I would have a play. Thinking about the latest Less is More sketch challenge I used the hedgerow border from the set and a circle mask plus some milled lavender and broken china DIs. Taking off the mask I stamped a couple of  tiny butterflies and the sentiment from LOTV in Versamark, onyx black. .Voila.

So I shall enter it into the LIM sketch challenge.

Thanks for popping by, come back soon.

Time

Morning again, peeps.
As I said earlier it's Tuesday and it's time for another challenge at Cardz4Guyz.
This week your challenge is to make a project related to -

TIME

Again quite a broad category and lots of ideas passed across my eyes before I settled on a CAS style card inspired by the latest challenge at CAS- ual Fridays- Three Thirds.

Here I used - 3 images
                                         3 layers for the image
3 techniques to make the image
( heat embossing, colouring and inking)
                                            3 words in the greeting
and finally image in the bottom third!
Hope that's enough threes!

The image is from a Paper Artsy set which I embossed in black then shaded the dials using Copics (C0,3 and blender) then after cutting the three squares with a Woodware punch I used antique linen DI to colour the background. The images are layered on black and then gold mirror card and the a base card made from white linen effect card.
OK, so why don't you pop over and check out the rest of the DT's inspiration and then have a go.

I shall enter it in the following challenges

ATSM - Make your mark
Sweet Stampin' - No DPs
CAS-ual Fridays - Three Thirds
Without Words - Gentlemen only

Cards und More

Good morning.
Its Tuesday and time for a new challenge over at Cards und More. This time we have a sketch challenge for you.

I tried lots of different ways to interpret the sketch but ended up with this.

I used my Lea,bilities frame square to surround a sky scene made by masking cloud shapes and inking using broken china DI. The circle I interpreted as my Tilda  with lovely lace shoes. A bit of a twist from the expected I think.
The background DP's are from NitWits and I used Copics to colour as follows-
Hair E42,44,47,35,Y21
Skin E000,00,11,13,R20
Top  Y11,2126
Shoes and trousers RV91,93,95,99

Metallic card to match and flowers from the stash, all on a 6 x 6 white base card. I love to use all those scraps that are left over from various projects. My friend Di laughs that I hoard all those odds and ends, one of the girls who ran the class we went to used to give me all the unused bits and bobs before I could ask! When the box I keep them in is overflowing or I've run out I sit watching the telly punching flowers out. The centers of the flowers are also saved from the out cuts from a lace punch.

OK, so that's my interpretation what will your's be? Pop over and see what the rest of the DT and GDs have made to inspire you and then have some fun.

I shall enter it in the following challenges -

As you like it challenge - fave recycle item
Stamping Sensations - Use dies and punches
Penny Black and More - Blossoms and blooms

LIM

Evening folks.
What a gorgeous day it has been around these parts today, positively tropical!
Cut the grass with the new mower and Al and I cut back the grass around the small copice that he planted about 5-6 years ago. Hopefully once the trees get a good canopy it will help keep the nettles at bay.
Anyway not much time for crafting til now.

I always try to enter the Less is More challenge but this week has been taxing me as it is a sketch and what I first thought of didn't work out. Anyway I kept at it and produced this little effort to honor Chrissie's sketch.

I played around with my Memory Box Starry Wreath and some black and gold mirror card I had lying around. In the end it turned out as a Christmas design but what ho! The greeting is from Go Kreate cut in the same gold mirror card. The ribbon was from the stash as were the Crafty Notions rainbow drops. I cut the two wreaths out then fit the gold one inside the black negative space. I mounted the final square on pads on a small black square base card.

OK that's a wrap for tonight, just time for a little TV with hubby after he takes the dog out!

Quiet Sunday Afternoon

Afternoon folks.
All is quiet at the mo, Al is playing on his ancient tractor and Ben and co have gone to a Christening in Liverpool. It's just me and the dog and some time to craft.
Doing my DT comments has opened up a world of different challenges that I haven't come across before, it's so good to find them, even better when you feel inspired.
On Wednesday I bought a couple of dies from The Craft Box before class. I pushed the boat out with one from a new company that I haven't seen before, Little B. I had to have a play! I also bought a fab rose die from Memory Box so I combined the two.

The new challenge at colourQ is to use these colours in your design.

Now these colours are from Stampin Up and I don't have any but I used what I had to make this.

As the rose image is actually a die cut I had to work out how to deal with it. I decided to die cut it, cover it in Versamark and then heat emboss in clear. I glued the outline to white card and used Copics (RV93,95,99,YG 03,13,17) to colour the leaves and flowers. I used a Spellbinders die to cut the white circle then a slightly larger one in bright yellow.
I used 2 of my Little B dies to cut and emboss the Kraft square which I mounted on a white square base card.
I shall also enter it in the latest CASology challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good rest of the day.

Distress It!

Good morning.
Is it really two weeks since the last Fantasy Stampers challenge, well it must be as we have a new one for you all.

DISTRESS IT!

We want to see all your distressed creations, cards not emotions!
This is not a route I usually take, I prefer a clean crisp design, but here is my DT inspiration for you. I suppose the image is a sop to my style.

The pink papers are from NitWits, 'Perfect Pair' and the stamp is Tilda with Magnolia branch, coloured with Copics as follows.
Hair -Y21,E35,41,42,44
Playsuit - RV000,02,10, E40
Shoes -  E40,41,42,43,44,47,49

The vertical panels are made by stamping off -white paper with a Hero Arts Birthday Text stamp in Versamark Onyx Black.
All the papers were distressed with a distressing tool then edged in Vintage Photo DI. The doily is from Joy Crafts and the lace strip was punched using a MS edge punch. The sentiment is from LOTV. Three buttons from the stash finish off the card.

OK, that's that so why don't you nip over to Fantasy Stampers and see what the other fantastic ladies of the DT have made to inspire you then have a go.
I shall enter this card in the following challenges -
Creative Card Crew - Girly
Copic Marker Europe - Out of the comfort zone
Copic Markers Norge - Anything goes
Midweek Magnolias - Frame it

Goldfish

Morning all.
An extra post this week as I was inspired by a couple of challenges I found while doing my DT comments.
At Muse this week the inspiration is by Marion Vagg.

She has used watercolour over resist white embossing and a textured card base. When I saw this I immediately thought goldfish, because of the lovely sunny flowers and watery background. I loved the woodgrain effct card she used for the card base but I haven't got anything like that so I used some coarse linen textured card I had in the stash. The stamp I used must be over 10yrs old but it fit the bill. It's from Inca Stamps and is called 'Stained Glass Fish.' I used my watercolour pens and waterbrush to colour the image after stamping and heat embossing in white.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Inkspirational, which is this sketch.

I shall also enter it in the following challenges:-
ATSM - Make Your Mark

So that's about it for today, thanks for popping by.

Morning all.
It's Tuesday so that means another challenge over at Cardz4Guyz. This week we what to see your projects with -

WHEELS

That could mean lots of things and one or two things came to mind, including a ship's wheel but in the end I came up with this.

This little fella is from LOTV and the layout is based on this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge. Quite a simple design but perfect for a bloke. The papers are from NitWits and buttons from the stash. I used Copics to colour as follows:-

Hair - Y21,25,YR24,E25
Blue - B32,34,38,95
Dog - E30,31,33,35,37
Metal, saddle,and tyres - C0,3,5,7,10
Shorts - E71,77,79

I shall enter it in the following challenges:-

The Male Room - Man's best friend
Time Out Challenges - Happy Birthday with a twist of Masculine

Well why don't you pop over to see what the rest of the team have done with the theme, then join in the fun.

Smile

Evening everyone.
The sun may not be shining but believe it or not it feels warmer than yesterday and the forecast rain has so far only been a few spots.
This week the ladies at Less is More want us to make them and us,

SMILE

Well I thought what I could do and I kept going back to that cheeky monkey from a few weeks ago. This time I toned down the splashes and came up with this.

He makes me smile every time I see him.
Anyway must go now and tend to the hubby who is feeling a little off colour and not his normal busy self.

I shall also enter it in the following challenges:-
ATSM - Anything goes
Keep it Simple - Bright colours

Thanks for popping 'round I appreciate all the lovely comments you all leave.

Note

Evening all.
Just managed to get my Grandson off to sleep after a hectic day. The dog is now recovering exhausted on the sofa!
I managed to get some quiet time earlier to have a bit of a play. One of them didn't come off but one did so here it is.

This was inspired by last weeks LIM challenge of shadow stamping and CASology's cue word of -

NOTE.

It was too late to enter the LIM challenge but I shall enter it in the CASology challenge.

The sentiment was computer generated and the panel was masked off before stamping with a music (Kaisercraft), butterfly (freebie) and branch stamps ( Inkylicious) in Memento tuxedo Black. The paler images were the remnants of the first stamping. It looked a little sharp so i softened the image using Weathered wood DI.

I see CAS -colour and sketches are doing shades of grey so I shall enter that challenge too.
Thanks for popping by, see you again I hope.

Don't forget there's still a week left at the Fantasy Stampers challenge of Easter Photo Inspiration, go on follow the link, be inspired and have a go you never know!

Cousin's Wedding

Afternoon folks and thanks for stopping by.
The sun is shining but there is a cool breeze, the swallows are here so summer can't be far away.
Just a quick post as my daughter and family are due shortly, Easter traffic jams permitting.
We were invited to my cousin's wedding at Spring Bank but we are away so have had to decline.
It is Pat's second wedding but they are both well past retirement so I presume it will not be all bells and whistles! So I was unsure what sort of card to make. Then I saw this weeks Muse inspiration and I thought I could do something on those lines.

This week the Muse is Therese Calvird

I liked the layout she has used and it was the sentiment that made me think of a wedding card originally.
I have gone with a WOW theme as I don't know Pat's colour scheme and used a Swiss dot embossing folder to create the central panel instead of a stencil and kept the basic sketch the same.

It was tricky to photograph as the sun reflects off the very shiny card! I tried 4 or 5 times and this was the best of the bunch.
The dotty panel was matted onto silver mirry and then mounted on pads onto a 5 x7 white base card.
The greeting was matted onto a Spellbinders Ribbon Tag with the hearts cut freehand as my punch was too small. Rainbow drops from Crafty Notions complete.

Apparently they are still stuck in traffic about 20 minutes away in normal circumstances!

Cheers!

The sky's the limit

Good Morning folks.
It's Tuesday so that means another challenge at Cards4Guys. This week the challenge is to create a project with the theme:-

THE SKY'S THE LIMIT

I went a little bit further with my DT inspiration and ended up in Space!

I was sorting through my recent NitWit purchases and came across this little chap in Spaced Out. The earth and backing paper were also from the same set. I made a porthole by using 2 Spellbinder dies inside one another on some very shiny foiled card. The rivets are Cardwork Cards Candi stuck with pads around the rim. The air hose is a piece of cardmakers cord, the flag a cocktail stick and a flag stamped with a Stampendous greeting. The outer porthole was mounted on pads onto a plain white circle over which I had stuck a circle of the DP and a cut out earth. Another plain circle of the same size creased to form a hinge made the back of the card and enabled it to stand.
The whole effect is as if you are looking out at a man on a space walk from inside the capsule. I don't usually do cards like this with no colouring but hey I think it works, great for boys of all ages!

Why don't you you check out what the rest of the team have done for your inspiration and have a go?

I shall enter it in the following challenges:-
The Male Room - Science Fiction
Time Out Challenges - Happy Birthday with a twist of masculine
Papercrafting Challenges - Masculine
Thanks for calling round and say hello why don't you.

No Flowers

Good morning and welcome to a new challenge at Cards und More.
This time we would like you to make a project -

Without Flowers

Now that suggests lots of things to me, men's, children, but I went with a clean and simple design using a LOTV stamp.

This is probably one of my favourite techniques and I have used it quite a few times, well as recently as Saturday actually. Basically it's a 6 x 6 white card base with a square of patterned paper put under an aperture. This time I used a circle and embossed the 51/2"square with a large dot embossing folder. This was mounted on pads to leave a 1/4" border around the card.
Rosie with parcels was stamped using Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured using Copics as follows:-
Hair - Y21,24,
Skirt and shoes - YG10,13,17
Top  and socks - RV
Cape - Y00,YG00, 02
Skin - E000,00,11 R20

The parcels were paper pieced using scraps from the same Nitwits collection as the background paper.
Rosie was fussy cut and glued to the embossed card. The greeting from LOTV was stamped on a strip of white card with a V cut in the left and then slipped under her feet.

I shall enter the following challenges with this card:-
LOTV - Happy Birthday
Ribbon Girl - Lovely Lili, Anything Goes
Fashionable Stamping Challenge - Favourite Technique
CAS on Sunday - A birthday to die for

Right so now it's your turn to get creative and join us at Cards und More

Hoppy Easter

Afternoon all, just a little something I worked on at dinnertime.
I was catching up on yesterday's footie, FA Cup semi-final. Naughty ITV chose the Arsenal v Wigan game for the live broadcast had to find the hi lights of the Hull v Sheff United on ITV4 at stupid o'clock as we don't have BT Sport! Such a shame we couldn't hang on but we played well and it was certainly an entertaining match, plenty of goals in a 5 -3 result.

I don't do Easter cards much but saw this funny little chap amongst that lost stash of photocopiables I found.

I coloured him in Copics as usual as follows:-
Bunny - C0,3,5.R20
Egg (outside) - V000,12,15,17,Y11,15,17
Egg (inside) - E50,51,53,55
Ribbon - Y11,17, YG23,17
Grass - YG 61, 63,67

The image was then mounted on pads onto an A6 yellow top fold card.

I shall enter this card in the following challenges:-
CAS- ual Friday - Good Egg
Crazy for CAS - Easter
The Paper Shelter - Easter Time
Addicted to Stamps and More - Photo Inspiration
Thanks for stopping by, I better take the dog out now!

Muse

Good morning, hope you have a good day.
While looking at some great card designs over at Less is More a couple of weeks ago, I came across a new site for me MUSE. Quite a different concept but I like the premise. The contributors vote for the winners!
I hadn't done anything that would fit and I didn't have time to do anything specifically for it until this weekend. The idea is that one designer acts as Muse for the challenge. This time it was
and this was her inspiration:-

I loved the stamped rose and think it was stamped with watercolour effect so that's the way I went with my interpretation.

I covered the roses of this old Rubber Stampede stamp with 2 shades of red La Plume pens and the leaves with 2 greens and then spritzed it before stamping. I used a w/c brush to drag some colour in from the outlines then dried it with a heat gun before it went too blurred. The sentiment is from a LOTV set which I stamped with Versamark Black Onyx. A scrap of matching organza ribbon was tied in a bow and then the image was mounted on pads onto a A6 base card.

I ended up with a softer version than I had at first wanted but in the end I quite like the subtle effect. Perhaps I should have used my DI's. Not sure if this is how it is supposed to work but I wont know unless I enter so here goes.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to leave a comment if you can, I love to read what you have to say and I even try to visit you blog in return.

Less is More

Afternoon all.
I have been busy in the craft room this afternoon. It has been sunny out but there was a cold wind blowing when I took the dog out. What better excuse do you need to get in there and play.
As it's Saturday it means another challenge over at Less is More. This means a bit of thinking as it's
One Layer week, this time with shadow stamping.
I like shadow stamping especially in a landscape context. It creates depth if used correctly.

Well here is the result of my playing around with the distress inks and a silhouette stamp set from Inkylicious I bought about 3 or 4 years ago at the Harrogate September show. I haven.t used it really but it allowed me to create an overhanging tree effect.

I masked off the bottom half of a A6 card blank and added some DI's to the top panel. I used Weathered Wood, Iced Spruce, Bundled Sage, Broken China and Tumbled Glass. I stamped the foliage using Versafine Onyx Black. I added extra texture by over stamping a Kaisercraft manuscript stamp in Weathered Wood,  removed the mask and stamped a tendril into the white space and added the LOTV greeting.
It was great fun even if this was the second attempt, as the first mask didn't go right across and a tiny bit of twig found it's way onto the bottom half of the card. Arrrgh.
Well happy crafting everyone.

Photo Inspiration

Good morning.
Another Saturday so it's time for another challenge at Fantasy Stampers. This week the lovely Jan chose:-

A photo

Very pretty it is too. with Easter on the horizon I could have gone down that route but I decided to go off piste so to speak with my DT inspiration.

The link to the photo are the tulips and roses. In my card the background paper is of pink tulips on a yellow ground from NitWits and Tilda with a cross necklace carrying a single pink rose. There are also roses on the mount which I created with a Cuttlebug embossing folder after die cutting a circle with a Spellbinders die. The mount was cut smaller than the 6 x 6 base card and mounted on pads. This type of design is great for using odd bits of paper I have lying around in the bit box. I matched the colours in the tulips with Tilda's clothes and rose. I used Copics to colour as follows:-

Hair - E51,25,29,35,71
Dress - RV91,93,95,97
Shoes - RV91,93,95
Skin - E000,00,11,13,R20
Bow and Rose - RV000,02,04 YG11,13,17
Cross - Y11,15,17

So why don't you pop along to Fantasy Stampers and see what the other lovely DT's have created then have a go yourself.

I shall enter it in the following challenges:-
Creative Card Crew - Spring
Sweet Stamping Challenge - Flowers
Sketch Saturday - #305

Wet

Good afternoon folks.
The sun is shining and the birds are singing. Mr woodpecker is bashing his head against a tree and I'm sure I glimpsed a dragonfly buzzing across next doors meadow when I walked the dog. Spring is sprung? We'll see.
Since being an honorable mention for the last CASology challenge I have had my thinking cap on trying to get my head around their latest challenge,

Well where to go with this one. Lot's of ideas came into my head but how was I going to turn them into a CAS card? Discussed it with hubby and he only came up with similar ideas. Then this morning I was sorting my recent NitWit purchases and I came across the Summer Splash set. There was a png. file of a hosepipe and then the light went off and voila, here is my card.

I added some drips and splashes then gave them a little bit of dimension with Glossy Accents. The single layer was then mounted on an A6 top fold matching blue base card with the bottom corners round off.
The sentiment finishes of the card.

Well that's that. Thanks for popping by and keep crafting.

Challenge 13 Numbers

Morning all.
Another week is over at Cardz4Guyz so it means another challenge. You certainly hit the funny bone last week with your Make em Laugh contributions. Pop over to the blog and see who won and see the DT's inspiration for the new challenge of -

NUMBERS

Lot's of ways to go with this type of challenge but as Nich needed a card for Ben's friend Logan, I came up with this design.

Logan is mad for trains and when he comes over he has to climb to the top of the slide to watch the trains go by, so the theme was a done deal.
This Molly Bloom train has already seen service last year on Ben's card but it is great for 'boys' of all ages!
I used a 6 x 6 white base card and drew a line down the middle of the front then sketched a number 5 to the right and cut it out being careful to leave it attached to the left half!
I cut an oval of Nitwits paper (green with dots) and layered it over a piece of sky paper from NitWits also. The train was stamped and coloured in Copics as follows:-

Train - R32, 35, 37, 39, 89
Boiler - C0, 3, 5, 7,10
Lamp - Y35,38 YR24
Wheels and Buffers - C0, 3, 5, 7,10
Track - E30, 31, 33, 35, 37, W0,2 5

I fussy cut the train and mounted it on pads at the bottom of the DPs. The DPs after trimming, were mounted on red card and the 5 in more NitWits paper, then cut out to reveal the number. The inside of the card was covered in matching red card to make the number stand out.

I shall enter it in the following challenges:-
Allsorts - No flowers
Without Words - Gentlemen only

Well that's about it and thanks for stopping by.

Quiet Sunday

Afternoon folks.
The weather isn't so cracking this aft so what better excuse than to retreat to the craftroom and dabble.
After an early morning get up with Ben, all is peace, the dog gets hyper when he's around.
The lovely ladies at LIM encourage participants to visit and comment on other entrant's blogs. There are some very talented people out there and while I was looking I also found some new challenge blogs, well to me anyway!
One of these is Dynamic Duo's and another is CAS(E) this Sketch. Well I do like to combine challenges so this is my card.

Well the challenge at Dynamic Duos is colour based and this time it was as follows:-
I don't have any Stampin Up inks so I used the nearest I had, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers DI.
I had originally thought to use the leftover coloured embossing paste but that didn't happen as it had gone off.
The design I based on the sketch from CAS(E) the Sketch -

I found the sentiment in the stash of freebies I have lurking in the cupboard as well as the stars from a couple of different sets.
It's a bit of change for me as there is no colouring but hey I was willing to give it a go!

OK that's about it, so thanks for stopping by.

Stencil

Evening folks.
Got my Grandson and Daughter over tonight, Nich isn't too well and has been off work for a week. Think she needed a change of scenery and someone to do the early shift as SiL is out with friends tonight. He dropped her and Ben off before going to his mates.
That means that craft time has been restricted, but I have managed to finish my DT card this morning and put my brain to a couple of other challenges this evening.
Less is More are asking for a Turquoise inspired creation this week.

A new challenge Virginia's View is asking for stenciling, as is Keep it Simple, so that's the inspiration for this CAS card.

I used a Dreamweaver stencil I saw and fell in love with then didn't know what to do with and some stencil embossing paste. I mixed some Peacock Feathers DI ink with the white paste and used plain white card for the background. I tried once and the paste leaked through but the second time it worked. The sentiment I shadow stamped in Peacock Feathers to lessen the intensity of the colour.

I shall enter the following challenges:-
ATSM - CAS
Less is More - Turquoise
Keep it simple - Stencil
Virginia's View - Stenciling

Don't forget that there is still another week well until Friday at 6pm BST in which to enter the Fantasy Stampers Silhouette Challenge, go on have a go.

Thanks for visiting and reading til the end!

CASology

Evening all.
Not a particular sunny day but pleasant non the less.
I have been prowling around my craftroom this aft trying to make something for a DT but although I know what I want to do it wont quite come together. So I have left it for the moment and put the little grey cells to this weeks CASology cue card.

Everyone is asking for funny cards this week, I suppose its because of April Fools Day.

Shame my little monkey isn't really CAS enough for the ladies at CASology so I thunk and came up with a very simple (for me) card.

The moustache has been embossed in black embossing powder and the sentiment was computer generated.
I used kraft paper for a change, it certainly gives a masculine effect. I mounted the panel on a simple white A6 top fold base card.

Well that's it, for that challenge now back to my little DT problem!
Thanks for taking the time to visit and bye now.

PS  A fellow blogger mentioned to me a new blog Paper Crafting Challenge and their theme is Masculine so I may enter here as well!

Make em Laugh

Morning all.
Today is Tuesday so I have my DT inspiration for our new challenge over at Cardz4Guyz to show you. As today is April Fools Day it has to be:-

MAKE US LAUGH

As we are a male orientated challenge I couldn't use my witty girly stamps so I had to use those little grey cells and eventually while looking for something totally different I came across a sheet of photocopiable images that were in a very old Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine I had saved. They are by David Parkins -Mythical Creatures. I just fell in love with this cheeky little chap and the sentiment that went with it.

I coloured him using Copics as usual:-

Paint drips - red - R22,27,29
                    blue -B12,14,18
                       yellow -Y11,15,17
                         green - YG11,13,17
Monkey - E40,41,42,43,44,47,49,93,95

The background was made using a Tim Holtz stencil, Splatters and DIs, Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Festive Berries and Peeled Paint. As it looked a little flat so I trimmed about 5mm off the background and die cut a circle out then mounted the cut out on the base card and the main background on pads. The sentiment was cut out using a Spellbinders labels 8 die. I fussy cut out the monkey and glued him flat onto the background.

I shall enter him in the following challenges:-
Allsorts -Use your dies
Sketch Saturday - Sketch free for all #286 ( inspired by Jen's DT inspiration)

So that's about it, why don't you pop over and see the other DT's inspiration and have a go.

Cards und More

Good morning bloggers and welcome to my first post for Cards und More.

The challenge for this fortnight is

BINGO

Choose any line up, across or diagonally. I chose the down the middle of the board -

Flowers / Kraft Paper / Pink

This is my inspiration for you.

The little girl with flowers is from LOTV and I used Copics to colour as follows:-
Hair - E41,42,44,35,YR20
Top, shoes and wrapping- E40,41,42,43,44,47,49
Dress, flowers and wrapping - RV00,10,13,14

You will see that I used a restricted number of colours. I wanted the image to hold together so kept the palette to browns,  pink and a little bit of soft green, to match the papers.
The lacy edged striped paper and the main backing paper are both NitWits, but the three vertical strips are just plain off-white paper stamped with a Hero Arts Birthday definition stamp. in Versafine Onyx Black. All the backing papers were distressed and then inked with Vintage Photo DI. The pink backing paper was then mounted on kraft paper then a 5 x 7 white base card.
The image of the little girl was mounted on a rosette of pink paper from the same NitWits collection made by pleating a length of the pink paper at 1/4" intervals and then gathering it onto a small circle and then inked with Vintage photo.  The horizontal paper strip was edged using a Martha Stewart punch and a piece of white ribbon coloured with a copic to match the paper was added. The flowers were made using a couple of Woodware flower punches as I have done before. ( see this link) A few green bits of foliage from an other Woodware punch completed the arrangement. The greeting from Docrafts was stamped on a small Die'Sire tag.
