Joy

Evening all and welcome to a late post to share a little project with you.

Last year one of my blog buddies, the wonderful Loll of Stamping with Loll, hosted a Twelve Tags of Christmas Challenge. Well she's decided to host it again and for what ever reason asked if I would take part as one of the Guest Designers. Of course I said yes!
This year's challenge started yesterday and will continue for another 10 days after today, with lot's of fab GD's taking part.
Loll has been a great influence on my style since I happened on some of here fab work when I first started to blog. Her style just speaks to me, classy and CAS so I hope you like my effort here, a kind of a homage to Loll -

I had some fun making this mixed media tag.
First off I needed a tag so out came my Sizziz thinlet stacked tag dies, then I stamped and embossed in white with a Stampendous Christmas phrases background stamp. I inked the tag with some Old Paper DI then used a stencil to add the diamond shapes in the same ink.
The poinsettia die and evergreen one are Le'Crea cut in white then rubbed with antique silver Inka Gold around the edges. I had to use these waxes as Loll introduced me to their delights! The pearls were added to make the small flowers in the center, instead of using the die that came with the set. JOY was cut from the same white card using a really old Sizzix die then rubbed with the Inka Gold wax. In real life it's really pearly but it doesn't really show up in the photo.
To finish I added some ribbon and a string of tiny pearls.
OK, so why not pop over to Loll's blog for all the details and check out the other GD Kathy's tag and join us

I'd like to join in over at:-

Love the neutral colours and the detail in the hook panel. Definitely Mixed Media!

There were one or two tags that caught my eye but the ones from Tracey Day 1 and 4 probably influenced the most.
