Balloons

Good morning folks and welcome to my second post of the day.
This time I would like to share my card for the latest challenge over at Cardz4Guyz.
This week we would like to see projects that use -

MORE THAN ONE FOLD

Now first off I thought of various fancy folded card bases then I remembered a card where one balloon was made from multiple folded die cuts. So I went with that, here is my interpretation.

To make this I die cut a large and small balloon shape in card and three in a medium size in pearlescent paper. To make the 3D balloon I folded the 3 turquoise die cuts down the middle, then joined them together along the fold. After placing them on my base card I trimmed the large one to the size of the base. Linen thread was glued to the side of each balloon then the ends trapped by the die cut HAPPY and BIRTHDAY banner. Bows from a MB Precious Snowflake die were added, cutting them down to just leave the bow part. I added a few stamped stars as detail to the yellow balloon, as I felt it was too plain. All done!

OK, what will you do, we'd love to see what you come up with. For more ideas please check out the rest of the DT and our GDs here.

I'd like to join in over at -
