CASEing Loll

Good Afternoon bloggers and welcome to my post to remind you of the fun new concept over at STAMPlorations.

This is my card for the next CASE.

This time we are CASEing this card by the wonderful Loll Thompson.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term CASE, it originally meant "copy and share everything" which would mean replicating the card, but for this challenge we'll interpret it as "Be inspired by the card. Notice various elements of the card design and use them in the creation of your card."
I loved this card the first time I saw it and was fascinated by the texture Loll got on her gold and red panel, so that was one thing then of course it is a Christmas card!
For my card I used the digi image from STAMPlorations - Christmas Balls. I coloured it with Copics picking up the colours from my background panel. I made mine by cutting a panel with my Sizzix Jali die to use as a stencil and used gold embossing paste through the pattern over a w/c wash. I quite like the patchy effect of the wash. My Noel was cut from an old Sizzix sizzlet die in gold mirror card. The photo has picked up some reflections so it looks a bit odd!
I mounted the panel on a white base that had been embossed with a border EF.
For another CASE of Loll's card see here
So that's my CASE, now it's your turn to have a go and join in.

I shall join in at the following challenges-
ABC Christmas Challenge - D is for Die cut (For the stencil and the Noel)
Christmas Stampin' all Year Round - Use embossing powder (on the baubles)

  4. Brilliant, brilliant CASE of Loll's card, Julie! The "Noel" caught my eye because it looks distressed even though it's not.
